This theater acts like a big-corporate venue instead of being a local theater. We had tickets to MST3K and the show was on a day that had crazy snow weather preceding the show and then projected the night of the show--while the show would have been running.
The day before the show, the theater emailed out an inclement-weather policy that OTOH promised that the show would go on, but OTOH had a rather snotty tone to it. The policy allowed for cancellations before 7 PM but really, only allowed for you to reschedule (commit to) attendance to a different future show at theater. We knew already that there wasn't another show that appealed to us so searched online for any info to decide if we wanted to risk trying to drive to see the show and then trying to get back home after the show.
The snotty email gave absolutely no info regarding whether the theater itself (and nearby parking lot) was on a primary-plowed road, or if the parking nearby had been (and would continue to be) plowed--nada. We mapped getting there and didn't see a way to get there without encountering hills either going or coming back. The Bremerton city's plow map (SWARM) showed that Pacific Avenue (where theater is located) had no plowing or de-icing done at all.
To make matters worse, right after 7 PM (reschedule deadline), the weather was unexpectedly updated to predict a new snow storm moving in, projected to leave 1 inch of snow per hour.
I've no idea how many people decided to risk venturing out to make it to the show or return home, but this theater's total lack of regard for its customers' safety, lack of honest and helpful info regarding getting there, parking there and getting back home, and its stringent big-corporate no-refund policy leaves a poor taste in my mouth. I've no intention to ever buy tickets or attend this theater again.

Just came from the Keller Williams & The Hillbenders Pettygrass concert. Show was split into two sections...Keller first with some really strange electronic guitar music. Clearly he's a very accomplished musician, but his electronic stuff left me cold and became monotonous. I thought we had been duped. After a somewhat long break, He came back on with the Hillbenders and performed what I was expecting to see for the entire concert...bluegrass versions of Tom Petty tunes. This part was absolutely outstanding! The musicians, particularly the dobro, banjo and guitar players were amazing and the vocals were right on the money. I'd return to see them if the stuck completely to the advertised bill of fare...Pettygrass. But I'd prefer he left his solo performance out.
Now the real reason I'm writing this review: my disdain for the exorbitant wine prices. First off, we brought our previously purchased required plastic sippy cups for wine. They're required for all those sitting in the balcony, which I can understand. Don't want to be spilling on folks down below. But the dang things leak from the lid. Mine dripped red wine on my shirt every time I took a sip. I ordered a 7 oz. pour of Hedges CMS red and my wife ordered the Ch. Ste. Michelle Pinot Gris. The cost $23.00!!! $12.00 for my red and $11.00 for my wife's white. Retail bottle price for each of these wines is less than $10.00, so wholesale would be less than that. I spent 31 years in the retail wine and liquor industry and these are NOT fair prices. I realize this beautiful theater is always in fund raising mode, but this is ridiculous! They're raking in tons of profit from alcoholic beverages. Sell the dang wine for a reasonable price and you'll sell more. I don't even pay these prices in the finest Seattle restaurants. Please stop gouging your supportive patrons.

The Admiral was a perfect spot to hold our recent high school reunion. The main area was spacious and accommodated dinner seating, open bar mingling area, dance floor, photo booth, buffer set-up, and silent auction tables. The menu items we selected for our buffet meal were delicious.

We're 2nd year season ticket holders and love the programs put together by the Admiral staff. Some really amazing talent from the past that can still bring it and exciting newer acts too. The recent renovation upgraded the sound system (awesome) and it's great to see the wide variety of acts that we wouldn't have ever sampled if the Admiral didn't bring them to town. Nearly every act remarks on the unique atmosphere highlighted by the noteworthy mermaids adorning the two three story walls. The single downside to witnessing a show from the balcony is the annoying transit of patrons (and too often ushers) to and from their seats during the performance (usually to the bar) that become a highly distracting nuisance. The staff should hold patrons at the entry until the end of song, much like the Mariners hold patrons at the top of the stairs until the end of the inning.

We were so happy and surprised, frankly, to see Bremerton's Admiral Theatre. We volunteer usher in Seattle at The 5th Avenue and at the STG theaters, The Paramount, The Moore, and The Neptune. We didn't know what to expect at The Admiral, but we were very pleased. What an elegant, well maintained, and well managed venue.
It was a perfect evening listening to the perfect artist, in the perfect place.

We try and go to the Admiral Theatre as many times as we can, it is a neighborhood icon and great to promote a local business. The venue we were at is smaller and you hear so slightly the other movies but all in all fun time

Easy to love this iconic place and it's a serious testament to benevolent community support. Having the option to get there early and enjoy a modest meal and drinks is a nice option if you get table seating on the floor or lodge (not balcony). I prefer the floor area, but the price point on the balcony is great. Bringing international level talent to the area at a price point the community will support is no small task, and then consider the limited seating numbers in this rather intimate venue and it becomes even more amazing. We'll continue to package with the big boys across the sound, but the quality of the experiences and convenience we enjoy at the Admiral is very good. Good job Admiral BOD past & present.

I've reviewed the Bremerton Admiral before and we love it! My wife and I (and friends) have been coming to shows here for quite a few years now and it was recently redecorated and refurbished. So, I thought it was time to provide another review. We went to our third concert of the season last Friday night and have tickets for three more concerts this year. Last Friday's concert was among the best I've seen...not just at the Admiral, but overall. And I'm nearing 70, so I've seen a lot of concerts. Featured country performer Lee Ann Womack was incredible...a tiny woman with a huge voice and great stage presence! Equally amazing was her band of six musicians. The entire audience loved and appreciated the show and did their best to demonstrate its appreciation. I could go on about that, but I want to focus on the lighting referenced in the heading of my review.
New in the theater remodel are some seriously bright white spot lights at the back of the stage that move up and down/side-to-side pointing toward the audience. I kid you not; these lights are absolutely blinding and it's honestly painful for those of us in the balcony to have the lights hit us directly in the eyes. Nearly everyone upstairs was looking down at the floor or covering their eyes when those lights came our way. Thank God they're not on all the time. Theater Management: You have GOT to do something with those lights...PLEASE!!! We'll continue coming to shows and supporting this wonderful, beautiful, intimate local theater...but please get a grip on those particularly horrendous lights. Thanks.

Thank you for the review and feedback Lim48. I'm sorry to hear you had anything less than an amazing concert experience in our venue, but I can tell you, we have not installed any white spot lights aimed at the crowd, and we didn't receive any other complaints about lighting at the Lee Ann Womack show. The lights you mentioned belong to Lee Ann Womack and not the Admiral. We welcome many nationally-touring concerts, broadway shows, etc. that travel with various lighting rigs and programmed lighting shows that accompany their stage performances. Unfortunately, we do not have control over the lighting presentation of nationally-touring shows. We always do our best to advise touring productions and share feedback relevant to our venue and audiences, and all of our staff do our best to present world-class live entertainment right here in Bremerton. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Admiral. Thank you again for reaching out and continuing to support the Admiral Theatre Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization.

I flew from Houston to see Garrison Keillor - he was wonderful. It took 45-minutes to take my dinner order; 40 minutes later, I was told the chef was out of salmon, so my friends and I did not get dinner. I was served one glass of water with no refills and my chair faced the back of the theatre. I paid $100.00 for a ticket at an overcrowded venue where non-season ticket holders were treated as persona non grata. This was the worst theatre experience I have ever had. If I could give this theatre a zero star rating, I would.

Thanks Lynn for your email and review. As we've been discussing via messenger, I'm sorry to hear your experience with us was anything less than excellent. I spoke to our house manager and chef and they acknowledged the error in food service was our fault and caused by a staff input error in our dining software. I can assure you this was an honest mistake and completely out of character for who we are and how we do business. Thank you for providing additional information via messenger. We'll continue our dialogue there and will do everything we can to make this right. (Nate Murphy, Marketing Director, Admiral Theatre, 360.932.3061, nate@admiraltheatre.org)

We saw the Kamikaze Fireflies yesterday and it was a great time. My kids 11 and 12 loved it, as did my husband and I. We were in the 2nd to last row and the view was fine. Tickets were only $8, too.
