We took our 3 grandkids ages 4-7 to the museum. We all had a great time. It is small but a lot packed in. Our only difficulty was my wife is in a wheelchair. There is a large step into the second room so she was unable to view that room. Even so we would go again.

We visited the Bug Museum with our 2 1/2 year old grandson. We thought it would be a fun little field trip and it was! We all enjoyed seeing the bugs and reptiles. It is quite educational and has a cute little gift shop, as well. Great rainy day diversion for the little ones.

The staff member was friendly and very knowledgable. He helped us locate the harder to find critters. There was a lot of information. It really is a wonderful collection! It was also free but they accept donations and are happy to receive them.

When my toddler Grandson learned we were taking him to see bugs, snakes, butterflies and lizards at the Bug Museum he couldn't contain himself! "Are we there yet?" ... "Are we there yet?" is all we heard as we drove to the museum. He grinned from ear to ear!
There's ample parking and lots to see when you arrive. There is no cover charge. It's all by donation.
Once we got inside all we heard were squeels of delight and joy as he bounced from one exhibit to the next.
There are activities for the kids to do and coloring pages that kids can take home as well.
We saw tarantulas, butterflies, snakes, bearded dragon, legless lizard, turtles and all sorts of other creepy crawlies.
They offer a wide selection of activities you can purchase too. Including a grow your own butterfly kit. Puzzles, lollipops, bug house, bug jewelry, dinosaur puppets, lots of fun toys for kids to learn with.
We had a fun visit! You will too.

Perfect for kids - small enough, accessible and free 😊 My 7 year old granddaughter wants a gecko for her birthday and the staff answered all her questions about taking one so she could convince her parents 😉

Very cool, and very fun for a pit-stop in Bremmerton. This little town had a bunch of stuff like this and was fun for my family. It's small, and I love their passion there. Especially with BUG diversity dwindling on our planet, this place is critical in education.

Insects and reptiles aren't my thing, but since life is not all about me, when I saw the sign I took the exit. I planned to wait in the car and read--why spend money to be squicked out--but it was free!
The ant wall they had set up fascinated my son and he's now planning a similar set up. In the garage. Maybe. But probably not.
The reptiles were also a hit.
We were only there for a half hour or so, but it was enough for me to earn cool mom points.

This was such a wonderful outing. My kids had an absolute blast. There is a large amount of preserved bugs, and some live ones, so be prepared when you enter. There are several interactive activities for the kids and many cool bug themed gifts in the shop. It’s a small facility with lots of open visibility for parents, which is nice to give kids some freedom to roam and give parents peace of mind knowing that your kids can explore safely within eyesight. This is such a great memory from our Washington trip, so thankful for it being open.

This is a small but well put together exhibit. The staff was friendly and knowledgable. I felt it was worth the visit if you need something quick to do.

Perfect for 7 year old. Enjoyed live animals as well as mounted bug displays. Scavenger hunt was very fun and educational.
