This is a really nice looking waterfall, arguably one of the best waterfall we have seen on the Olympic peninsula. As far as we could tell, there was no sign for this waterfall and you just had to know where it is. We used the map on our phone to find this place. Even the parking for this waterfall isn't marked. You just had to know this is where you park to get to the waterfall. The trailhead is across the road from the parking lot and is only about a 5-10 minute easy uphill hike to the base of the waterfall. As mentioned in other reviews, once you get to Brinnon, WA, you go west on Doeswallips Road for a few miles, and once the road crosses over a creek, you will see a dirt parking area on your left. That is where you park to get to the falls. I highly recommend going to this falls if you are in the area of Brinnon, WA.

We visited Rocky Brook Falls while traveling around the Olympic Peninsula. It's about 3 miles west of Brinnon on Dosewallips Road. Right after crossing the bridge over Rocky Brook, there is a small parking area on the left. The parking is small and likely fills up, but we visited on a weekday. The trail follows an old road past a hydroelectric station and to the base of the waterfall in less than a quarter-mile. The waterfall is claimed to be 229 feet high, I'm not sure about that, but it's very big and impressive. I wore water shoes and splashed around in the water. If it was warmer, would make a nice swimhole. It's very easy to visit and worth a stop if in the area.

This waterfall is so much bigger than I was expecting. We got a little confused trying to find it. I passed the trail and walking area when we were trying to find it and ended up driving miles up the road into the mountains, to the point of the paved road stopping and it turning to dirt full of huge pot holes and it was raining. Turned around before getting to the camp grounds and on the way back down saw the area to park and a large board that had a little sign pointing across the street to the falls. I couldn't see that on the way up, just noticed some cars parked. It is a very short walk but so green and beautiful. worth the stop, especially if you pay attention and don't pass it. LOL.

These falls are conveniently just off Hwy. 101 & nearly roadside. It's just a short, family-friendly walk to get there. Very pretty. Enjoy them from the trail or climb over the large rocks to get to the base. There's a pool of water to the right of the falls that people use as a swimming hole. Posted signs at the trailhead on the hydroelectric building say there is danger of sudden stream flow changes & to not climb on the rocks.

The entrance to this was heavily posted with No Trespassing and Keep Out signs. If I had to guess, I'd say some neighbor was overstepping their authority, but my wife didn't feel like risking some local's wrath, and we gave it a pass. Disappointing, glad we hadn't come very far.

If you’re looking for a hike, this is not it, but if you’re looking to take a short walk, you’ll be rewarded with some amazing falls. We’ve been several times in the last two years. It’s really beautiful.

Stopped on our Hwy 101 road trip. Just a few miles off of 101 with a very short hike along the creek to the falls. I have a bad knee, but didn’t have any problem with this trail. Beautiful falls!!

Very short hike with some rock near the falls but 4 over 60 just went and had a nice day.
The falls are great, Water was cold and with the temp over 80 today the place was busy. Whole families with kids were climbing over the rock and diving into the deeper middle hole. So this is a very well known local spot. There are other trails up the river that look to be worth the effort some day.

short hike to beautiful water falls. another place with 50 shades of green. the hike is real easy and the trail is wide. the sound of the falls is amazing and it smells good out there

We would like to see Rocky Brook Falls and I've hear the road is closed (washed out) and wonder how far it is to walk to the falls. Or if this is even an issue! Thank you,

The road is washed out much further up the Dosewallips Road than where you would park to walk to Rocky Brook Falls so it is not an issue.
