don't mean to be negative but I have been playing here 4-6 times each year for over 10 years and it once was a god deal $41 in the off season $60 in summer but now $110 all season and the course hasn't been kept up like before. The back nine the first cut looked like it hadn't been cut in 2 weeks and the fringes of the greens also long. Hmmm.
As a single golfer i also was not made to feel welcome. When I called ahead I was told they could fit me right on but when I arrived not so much.

My wife and I wanted to play golf at Bear Mountain but were told upon arriving at the parking lot that this is a 'carts only' golf course. Sad.

What a great golf experience. Beautiful course with stunning views. It was well marshaled, well maintained and a great experience. A bit on the expensive side but we’d play it again in a second. If you’re a serious golfer don’t miss it.

Business trips to Chelan are a lot of fun, and even more impressive is the view on this course. The golf is pretty solid and there are some fun holes. Watch out for rattle snakes in the summer, and make sure you bring an iron if you go searching for your ball in the deep stuff. Take in the breathtaking views and make sure you buy a cool hat from the pro shop too!

6 and a half hour round of golf. I called the proshop and complained to get the marsal out there to figure things out. It took him an hour and a half to respond. When he did he was just terrible. Said he should throw me off the course for complaining. I told him to do his job... There main goal is to make sure nobody sneaks a beer into his bag at the parking lot.. The course itself is very gimmicky... Not worth playing and surely not worth the price... This course is just an example of all the yuppies that moved to Chelan.
Play Dessert canyon or do yourself a favor and play Gamble Sands., Skip this turd.

We had the pleasure of playing this very beautiful and challenging golf course on 8/8/16. If you want a challenge on a mountainous course, then, this is the course for you! We are advanced golfers, and we both play from the regular men's tees. We don't travel with our own clubs, so we rented theirs. They were Nike Vapor Fly.
#1 is really funky; there is a directional marker about 130-150 yards in the middle of the fairway. However, if it's not too busy and u've never played here before, I suggest driving up to the directional marker, so you understand what the 1st hole does. They have a guide-book that you can buy in the clubhouse; trust me, you need it.
The back 9 was more uphill than the front, and a lot easier. Beautiful just the same.
The course was in excellent condition; nice plush green grass; fairways and rough were mowed nicely, and the greens were very puttable and in great shape as well.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. we had the pleasure of Jen helping us, but both ladies in the pro shop were very hospitable! We were staying at the Desert Ranch Golf Resort in Orondo, WA, so we got discounted rates on the fees. Club rental was also very reasonable!
We play really fast, but this took us nearly 4 hrs to play. This is a must play golf course IF you like thrilling golf courses.
