Meadowdale Beach Park is a great place to go with your dogs, friends, and family. There is a long hike you need to do before you reach the beach, but it isn't to hard and it's 100% worth it. It's beautiful and quiet and a great place to visit in the summer.

I was pleasantly surprised on what a great workout the trail in this park has. It is all downhill to the beach but be prepared to climb some stairs and walk up an incline on the way back to the car. Plenty of benches to rest on. The beach is rocky but has amazing views.

Tucked away in the middle of a suburban neighborhood, this beach park offers a fantastic hike through beautiful Pacific NW woods and meandering stream that ends at a gorgeous, picturesque beach. Popular with hikers of all ages and courageous runners looking for a good uphill workout, it tends to get pretty crowded on warm sunny days, so be prepared to wait for parking or park in the neighborhood and add a few more steps to your hike.

Tucked away, neighborhood trail winding down, down, down, through beautiful forest and ravines, this trail then rewards you by ending up at the beach with expansive views of the Olympics and Whidbey Island. It's all uphill on the way back but worth every step

Meadowdale Beach Park is a delightful place to spend an afternoon. Accessible by foot from an often crowded parking lot, the trail is steep at times. OK for small children, but not older adults if not sure-footed. The trail leads to a grassy area with picnic tables and a small shelter. If you walk past the port-a-potties, you'll find a tunnel under the train tracks which opens up to a beautiful dog-friendly beach area. Be sure to bring water, beach toys/book, a towel or blanket and remember to save some energy for the mile-long hike back up the hill.

This is a very different kind of park to visit. There is road access for handicap or walking down a winding road to the parking area and to the park area. Also there is a trail with parking at the start of the trail. The trail is down and very enjoyable. After this there is a hike back up. Very pleasant both ways. You access the beach through a short tunnel under the train tracks. Also a nice walk along the beach.

We had never explored Edmonds and decided to try this beach park. We were not quite dressed for the hike, as it is more challenging than a simple, flat stroll. Some hikers were using walking poles and most were dressed in athletic gear. But we forged down the incline on the well groomed trail with built-in stairs and railings at some points along the way. The forest area is breathtaking, and the beach is worth the hike. Full of large driftwood trees and rocks, it's a great beach to explore, and watch the sunset. The hike back up is the most challenging, of course, with some steep inclines along the way. But it's worth it! The perfect Pacific Northwest experience.

Ok so it is nice to see some land made into a park with forest walks and access to the shoreline but this park has very limited parking at the far east end, no parking a the southwest entrance and it is no way ADA or stroller friendly which is a sad thing in this day and age.
The park entrances can be hard to find, street signs are non-existent. One must use a GPS to find either entrance. The hill is steep and it's all up hill back to your car at the far east end.
Too bad they did not make the SW entrance easier to get to and include a parking lot and wheelchair friendly walkways. Handicapped people pay taxes, too!
