It's a neat experience to eat outside at an actual seafood farm. It was our second time. The food was just okay. The fried oyster entree was really disappointing. The oysters were small, few, and mostly bread batter. The steamed clams were good but right on the edge of being too spicy hot with red pepper flakes. Also, more bread should be provided with the clams. The staff is very friendly. Not busy on week days. Go for the experience not the food.

absolutely fresh seafood in lovely setting overlooking Buck's Bah. The halibut fish and chips was great-fresh halibut, crispy batter, great fries, I had the "Island roll" (halibut, shrimp and scallop). The dining setting is on a grassy lawn with mature willow trees providing great shade. Very nice staff. Perfect!

We had our most delicious Orcas Island meal to date here today! The halibut fish and chips were delicious and the fish tacos were even more amazing We will definitely be back! Be prepared for a wait after you order. It’s a popular lunch spot and when you taste the food you will know why! Sitting under the willow trees was delightful.

One of the owners of buck bay shellfish farm has a DANGEROUS dog on the property. The dog is off leash, and bit our dog unprovoked. Do not take your dog here.

Buck Bay Shellfish Farm was the highlight of our trip! We scoured the all of the San Juans to find whole Dungeness crab and the only place we could find was here, and it did not disappoint! My wife also had the crab cakes, which were in contest with the whole crab for best thing that I’d put in my mouth all week. Tucked into the quaint Buck bay, Buck Bay Shellfish gives great local vibes, and a beautiful view as you stuff your face with the freshest seafood around!

Stumbled on this place for lunch and what a great find - we had crab Mac and cheese - artery clogging delicious!! - and fish and chips - both were very good!! Picnic tables for outdoor seating, chickens running around, and just a great setting! Would definitely go back!

We shared the substantial fresh fish cake and fries for a late lunch. Very friendly crew. Ate outside with a view over Buck Bay. Then Toni brought out a freebie dish of deep-fried pickles which was an experimental dish. Very thoughtful.

If you are on Orca Island you MUST go to Buck Bay Shellfish (Restaurant). Very basic but ALL the seafood is INCREDIBLE...we went twice!! Oysters right out of the Bay in front. Very nice people. All outdoor eating. Don't miss it!!!!

The business and guest house is located directly on a shallow bay, Buck Bay. I don't remember seeing a wharf. I would think anchoring out and coming ashore in a dingy should be possible. If you Google "Buck Bay Seafood Photos", you'll see lots of different photos including some where you can see the bay in the photos. Their website (which I can't post per Trip Advisor terms), it also shows photos including one of that shallow bay taken at low tide.
