Took some of my co-workers there who had never seem the salmon. I never tire of watching the Salmon. Nice that they pitched sign there to remind people.

The Bridge is a nice way to try to see fish at times, but isn't too much of an attraction. More of a segment on your walk around the lake.

Ease access place to watch seals eat salmon on their way to Capitol Lake and the Deschutes River to spawn in the fall. From late September to early November (changes with weather and runs from year to year) you can watch the salmon run, and get some idea of how lazy seals are--as they take one or two bites out of a salmon, play with it fore a minute them move on to the next one. Nice place to hang out for a half hour and watch the fish.

Really peaceful, lots of different fish and of course, the salmon. Educational signs around, Quaint white bridge across the way.

This is a great walking area near the Port of Olympia and old town Olympia. Beautiful water views, restaurants and little shops.

Stopped to view the annual salmon migration but unfortunately they had already moved past this spot and were now in Capitol Lake and further up Tumwater Falls Park. Did see the local resident blue herons and gulls but no seals! Oh well, as they say timing is everything!

A bridge on a small dam dividing Capitol Lake and the Puget Sound. Most of the year, this is a pedestrian sidewalk. During the months of August and September, this is a place where pedestrians, families, and tourists stop to watch the Salmon on their upstream journey to Tumwater Falls for spawning. The Harbour Seals chasing the salmon is what entertains the crowd to stay. Stop by, watch the fish, then go to your favorite restaurant and ask for the salmon.

There are a lot of interesting things to see and do in Olympia but this is not really one of them. If one wants to see the salmon ladder well go see that under the bridge but that is it. No special trip here.

Great views of Budd Bay inlet and the Olympic mountain range as well as that of Mount Rainier with easy access to capital Lake and the downtown.

This is a good place to view the salmon, when they are running. Otherwise it's just bridge that borders on a toxic lake. It is not a destination or an engineering feat , like the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. If you're in Olympia anyway you might want to visit it.
