Talk to a human before going to visit

Over the past two months I have tried to visit this distillery, checking on line to see if they were open and their website said they were. The first time I went over there only to find their tasting room closed.

Today I had guests from over 1000 miles away and I checked on line. Again it said they were open so this time I called and got a voice mail saying they were open. So we spent an hour driving over only to find they were closed.

I have heard good things about this distillery and accordingly have been disappointed twice. I don't know for sure but I am beginning to suspect they are out of business.

The alchohol was delicious. The liquores in particular the raspberry and spiced apple were my favorite but everything was delicious. Ramona was wonderful and talked us through all the choices. Overall a great stop that I would come back to again.

You Won Over My Wife

This distillery was suggested by my cousin so we stopped in for a tasting. We got four tastes so I picked a vodka and an aged whiskey. I offered my wife, who doesn’t drink, a couple of the liqueurs. Long story short, she bought her 1st bottle of alcohol in her life. The Blackberry liqueur won the prize.

Nice stop for samples

My husband and I are not whiskey drinkers but we stopped in to sample the $5 flights. It was entertaining and informative. The bartender explained about the different types and the liquors they also make and sell. She gave suggestions on how to use in drinks. The raspberry was a favorite. She had the spiced apple warm so it was a pleasant ending on a cold day! She said they are expanding to a bar area selling cocktails in couple of months. I will be back to experience. Worth the stop!

Entering Skip Rock, you are greeted by a heady and delicious aroma coming up from the barrels and stills. The tasting room overlooks the operations area and it is worth spend some time admiring what is going on. Ramona, an owner, is from NOLA, and is a friendly and engaging host as you enjoy the various pours. Yes, you can find their products in stores but it is so nice to come to the source.

I'm lucky that I only live about 30 miles away, making it easy to visit, so as to the questions "When did you visit" I'm glad to say I've been visiting on a regular basis for many years.

Ryan and crew make some of the finest spirits you'll ever drink. Not a bad one in the bunch, though I'm quite partial to his Ryes.

The place to visit, neat little distillery with a wide selection of products,after being greeted by a staff member, we paid $5 dollars for 4 tastings of the various products,this was refunded if you made a purchase.Each tasting was explained in detail, and proved to be very interesting. They make several whiskeys, two white and two rye, rum, vodka ,gin,as well as a number of fruit liqueurs I settled on a bottle of their Belle Rose Amber Rum.There is also a selection of tae shirts etc available for purchase should you desire.

This place is a great addition to the town I grew up in! I enjoyed our visit here - staff was extremely helpful in navigating the tasting options and we walked out w 3 bottles!

Warm and Friendly Local Distillery

We're not sure how we missed this place on previous visits to Snohomish, but we were glad we noticed the signs pointing us half a block up from 1st Avenue. My wife and I enjoy sampling various distilled alcohols, mostly whisk(e)y, and the variety offered by Skip Rock definitely piqued our interested. We shared our four tastes and selected the vodka, amber rum, white whiskey, and the Nocino (walnut liqueur).

The vodka certainly had the potato notes mentioned by our server, although as a tasting vodka, we prefer the Peabody Jones from Woodinville Whiskey. While the white whiskey was surprisingly smooth (it is un-aged whiskey, after all), we prefer ours properly aged for five or more years. The Nocino was the most interesting of the bunch, and we probably would have picked up a bottle had we not already have a couple of other bottles of unopened liqueurs from Whidbey Island.

That left the rum, which was our clear favorite. We typically only use rum in mixed drinks, but this one had a great mouth-feel, and you could clearly taste the affects of its whiskey barrel aging in the molasses and oak notes.

We applied our $5 tasting credit to a bottle of the Belle Rose Amber Rum, and we will definitely be back to try some of the other products we didn't get to on our first visit. It doesn't take long to stop in and support great local businesses, and the craft distillery community is a wonderful way to shop local. We highly recommend a visit to Skip Rock if you are in the area.

Absolutely wonderful way to immerse yourself in Snohomish flavours and hospitality.

If you want to get a taste of Snohomish culture then look no further. My husband and I walked into Skip Rock Distillery and immediately our senses were pleasantly overwhelmed by the most amazing aroma. Apple and cinnamon with some undertones filled the air. We were instantly drawn to the back of the room by the large copper stills. This is a productive distillery with all the workings of a successful business, which are clearly visible.
Chris greeted us with his gregarious infectious personality and beckoned us over to sample the rum, vodka and liqueur on offer.
We shared the experience with a group of friendly locals and everyone shared recipes for Moscow Mule, Rum butter, Knickerbocker glory with alcohol (at least this is what it sounded like to us Irish ).
We sampled lots...oodles...at flight of rums and liqueurs.
The cheeky flavours with surprisingly good deep bodied, hot steamy , tongue tingling tastes were tantalising and satisfying.
This is fun!
Relax and enjoy the experience.
There were some delicious little cakes (buns) with icing laced with the Skip Rock Rum and they were just devine!
Chris entertained us and all the other guests so well. Thank you so much for such a wonderful fun afternoon.
My husband and I fell in love with Snohomish that day.

We purchased the tasty, nutty, spicy Nocina Walnut Liqueur which was mentioned in the New York Times. ... but will be back to try out the Double
Barrel Rum which was also delicious.
