This is another statue I remember from my childhood. The green color is due to acid rain over time I believe. It was originally copper I think. Anyway it's just a statue and it's cool to see but I wouldn't recommend anyone go out of their way because there's not really an attraction. Just the statue. It would be cool if you're a history buff or already in the area.

This was a nice photo stop but it's just a statue without much else to do nearby.swing by,take a picture or two and enjoy one of the area's other attractions.

This is a cool statue but there are limited places to park near it and is in the middle of a busy intersection.

There was a B&B across the street called the Iron Horse Inn. It was sold and it became a Chinese Buffet. That closed and now it's a bar. Worked with a guy who SWORE he was related to the man on the Iron Horse. HOWEVER, never took the time to confirm. We'll just let the story fade into history.

The Iron Horse Statue is on the main route through town and beside the Davis Memorial Presbytherian Church and down the hill from Davis & Elkins College. It is impressive with fall foliage behind and also when disted with snow.
