Little scary but worth it to see the views of the river and the endless wall! Would highly recommend. Easy hike for the most part.

We went to this trail around 3pm on a weekday. The parking area wasn't busy, only about half the spots were filled. It did have a portapotty. We hiked this pretty quickly, there are some rocks and elevation at the very end. The view is breathtaking. There is one really perfect spot for pictures, so if you get there with lots of other people you will have to wait to take pics.

Did this trail with my 11 and 13 year old grandchildren. It’s a nice 3 mile round trip Trail with awesome views at the overlook!

If you only have time for one hike at New River Gorge this is the one to take! The scenic overlook had a stunning view of the bridge. Easy to moderate difficulty, out to the overlook and back is about 3 miles. There's a primitive toilet at the trailhead.

Wow, just wow! Beautiful forest walk, nice trails and the bridge view at the end is spectacular! Get your steps in with this trail walk.

Good parking at the trail head. It is heavily hiked so the trail is in good shape it was muddy in a few spots. The point provides a great view of the bridge anda cool waterfall up stream that is a shame you cant get to. Overall it was our second favorite trial

Awesome view at the end of this trail. There was even a vulture that swooped down to get a drink from one of the pools in the rock and hung out for a few minutes.

Based on heat index, take some water with you and give yourself at least 2 hrs to hike and soak in all of that WV nature!
Can u do this trail in mild rain?

Elevation changes are gradual so you should be fine. I personally wouldnt let it stop me and I’m older. I would don that raincoat and look at the rain as an extra element of adventure to the hike!
