Staff was helpful, friendly and welcoming. Hotel suite was spacious, clean, and a great surprise. Valet parking was a bonus. Other than the Pabst brewery and a few microbrews, it isn't within walking distance (in January) to much. But rideshare cars were super easy to get and pretty inexpensive for being in the city.

This is not your typical beer-making tour. It’s a tour of the history of Pabst beer and the Best family. Our guide, Mark, was very interesting, informative and fun. Starting in the large room similar to a German beer hall, old commercials were played while you enjoyed a beer until the tour started. Very nostalgic. We saw additional areas that have been renovated but still contain antiques and memories of the past. The current owner was on site while we were there. Gift shop contained lots of memorabilia. It’s a great place and a must see while in Milwaukee.

Such an awesome place. The tour guide made it worth the trip. He was a kick. The building is absolutely beautiful. Be sure to enjoy a PBR!

One of the best brewery tours I've been on. It's not a traditional tour in which you get the "this is how barley and yeast and malt and water come together." This tells you about the history of beer in Milwaukee and how Pabst Brewery fits in. The tour encompasses several of the many buildings (as there are still renovations going on), and gives you a sense of what it was like back in the day. What I specifically appreciated was Scott's (longtime friend of the current owner) sharing of the more recent history of the place, especially how his friend bought and began renovations of the complex. I specifically appreciated his opinions of various events, a departure from the often sanitized versions so often given. I don't have to agree, but I appreciate the point of view of a person who was there (nb: I did agree).
Pair this tour with the Pabst Mansion to get a solid understanding of the role and importance of this family and company to the city of Milwaukee and beyond.

This wasn’t a traditional brewery tour. No active brewery but what was great was the knowledge and personal guide showing short film of old commercials and telling history of Pabst and Milwaukee brewing up until today. So much I didn’t know. You got 1 free beer and could have beer anytime throughout tour.

If you’re looking for a tour of a brewery, this is not it. The Best Place is located at the former Pabst brewery and it is no longer in use. The tour was consisted of sitting in one room and listening to the guide. They do take you to another location, but it’s just an event space with more talking. 1 free drink but choices were limited. The gift shop was the best part.

From beginning to end, this tour was great. If you love history and beer, this tour is for you. Mark was our tour guide and he was fantastic! I had no idea how fascinating the story of Pabst was. In addition to interesting history, there was three bars along the way to get more beer. The owner even showed up at the end of our tour and was mingling with us. I highly recommend this tour!

SOOOOO FUN! Would do this a 2nd time. Interesting, educational, friendly, and now I drink Pabst!!! Next time in town I hope to do this again.
