Overall the zoo was nice. Clean cages and friendly staff. Most of the animals appeared well cared for. My biggest concern was for the cats and wolf. Their space is way too small. It was obvious to me that the cats and wolf have behavior issues due to their small space.
Safari area is very nice. Some of that space should be used for the cats and wolf.

by far one of the better zoo's I have visited. The nice part of the zoo is there are free roaming animals that kids can pet and feed.
Highly recommend this zoo to anyone.

I went here with my 4 kids. It was over 100 bucks to get in. But the kids loved it. There is close interaction with the animals. The deer eat directly from your hands. They added a safari in the back if the park. The giraffe feeding is a highlight. It’s a good time, but it’s expensive.

This park has a wide variety of animals, birds and reptiles. The employees are very kind and work hard to keep the grounds clean. It is so fun to "pet" the deer and observe them close up!!

It had been a long time since I had been to a zoo so when our friends wanted to visit this park, we said why not. I am so glad we decided to go - this park is so much better than a zoo. I had never fed deer or goats before and it was fun seeing them roam the park and come up to us to get food. The animals in the cages were well cared for, and the ones outside in their areas had plenty of room and resources. We enjoyed the safari ride, and entering the budgee house and having the parakeets/birds fly on and near us to eat the seed sticks. My favorite thing was to feed the giraffes. We also attended the two intern presentations showing off the baby kangaroo and the woodchuck. It was a warm day but a wonderful experience.

Been going to Wildwood for years and have watched it grow but continue to be clean and friendly. My grands LOVE this place. Prices are high however it is a seasonal zoo and animals need care all year so I can overlook prices. The favorites are the giraffes, bird sanctuary and the petting zoo. The snack prices are not out of line with typical tourist places. It is fun to be up close and personal with God's creatures. Thanks for a great time.

Have this roadside attraction "novelty display" shut down. The giraffes were not acquired from a legit "wildlife sanctuary in Kansas". They came from an exotic animal breeder/dealer who sold them for profit as stated by The HSUS in Washington D.C. in a letter to me in June of 2013. Wildwood Wildlife is an active participant in the exotic animal trade. Wild animals have specialized needs rarely met in captivity. They require natural habitat, specialized diets, exercise. The ability to have natural behaviors. Many also need space not hard compacted dirt, concrete or small cages in unsuitable climates. Veterinary care and companionship. They can get a host of captivity-induced health problems, neurotic behaviors especially those in long term cramped cages. Petting zoo? Where do you think the little ones end up after they are done for the year and are now too big for the petting part? Whose parents did they take them from and then whom are they sold to? We have paid to take 3 of the cats out and they immediately needed to go to the vet. 1 with a hernia, 2 with ear mites 1 of which died of a heart condition.

This is always a pleasant surprise. The animals are healthy, the grounds are very clean, and there is an amazing collection. Locals like bald eagles, to Siberian tigers, giraffes, exotic birds and reptiles, kudu, kangaroos and wallabys... It's as good a zoo as you can find anywhere, with petting goats and deer as well.

We loved the variety of animals at this zoo! The parakeet exhibit was a favorite, as were the bunnies. The safari ride was neat too. It's pretty expensive, so if you can find a coupon, I recommend it OR plan to pack a picnic lunch and make a day of it.

What do you do with the bears in the winter months. The enclosure is so small.
If coming the first Sunday in October how many animals would still be around to see? Would I be better off coming in summer?

I am not really sure about this. They might not have all the tame animals out at that time, but you can call them and check. I have only been there in the summer.

No. You’d have to purchase passes to get in to the zoo itself and additional passes for the Tram. Adults are $18.99, children up to 13 are $13.99, infants I believe are free. Tram passes are $4 person, it’s approximately a 25 minute ride.
