We had a fabulous trip down the snake river with joe today. He was a wealth of information and his love for nature was truly apparent.
We saw great scenery,many eagles,a moose and many different weather scenarios.
Joe guided us down river with care and confidence making all feel very comfortable!!

A fabulous experience! Lewis & Clark offers a scenic float and a whitewater trip. I had the privilege to do both on the same day.
Riding the rapids with Riley as your guide is a guaranteed fun-filled couple of hours on the Snake! You’ll navigate the roaring rapids and gain knowledge on local geology and ecology along the way. We even spotted some wildlife between the lull of rapid sections.
If your still deciding between different rafting companies, book with Lewis & Clark. You’ll have a wonderful time with this top notch operation!

My family and I wanted to do a rafting experience but with the Snake River raging from all of the snowmelt, we decided to do a float and it was perfect. Thirteen miles of brisk but easy floating with a few spots of very easy rapids. Our guide Beau, was very capable, friendly and informative. We would definitely go rafting with Lewis and Clark in the future.

Spent a delightful afternoon floating down the Snake River with Lewis & Clark guide, Beau. The raft is not too big, so we never felt crowded in it. There was plenty of room for our small backpacks. Beau shared so much information - about our natural surroundings and also about life in the Jackson area. We were fortunate to spot about two dozen eagles while on the trip. If you need a break from hiking and don't feel up to white water rafting, I highly recommend this excursion.

Ali was a fantastic guide on our scenic river float trip. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. We learned a lot from her about the river. We spotted numerous bald eagles along the river. It was lots of fun. Highly recommend this for anyone wanting a relaxing, peaceful experience among gorgeous scenery.
Everyone at Lewis & Clark was professional. Everything from booking the trip to the completion of the float trip went smoothly.

Very accommodating and laid back experience. My family (kids 12, 8 and 6) had a wonderful time. You really dont need to worry about anything. Wear approriate clothing if you want to get wet, its not an absolute. Just book it and enjoy! Help support this family owned business.

There is a calendar on their website to show available dates. I believe their end date has to do mostly with the weather. Our guide in mid September said they would probably still run for a few more weeks!

I saw where they recommend a waterproof camera for the scenic float trip. If I have a waterproof carrier for my DSL, should that be enough? In other words, is the float calm enough overall that I should have times to pull it out safely and use it and stow it away at other times if needed? Thanks

You won't need any cover for the scenic float. Only for whitewater trips.

3.5 hours is the total round-trip time. For whitewater trips this summer, most trips will be 1.5 hours or less on the water. A tad more for scenic float trips. Time depends on time of year (water flows)

Yes, they're on different sections of the river. Also keep in mind when you're white water rafting you won't look around as much because you'll be focused on rowing. The scenic float allows you to really just relax and observe.
