This is a hidden gem! Awesome coffee and a heavenly view! The owner Bill is such a kind guy and is super talented! He farms his own coffee beans, macadamia nuts and is a professional potter. Do miss this place. It's just off the road, then take an immediate left. Amazing place!

Great coffee and a nice owner who was helpful when we asked him suggestions about the area. He clearly cares about making you feel at home!

Found this little place off the main road and WOW…. Amazing views…amazing smoothie and amazing coffee.

Stopped here on a why not, excellent choice! The owner was so inviting and very welcoming. The food was probably the best I had in 3 days on the island, the coffee was amazing. The view out on the balcony was very refreshing! There was a little chill but expected and was out of the rain but it was so calm. Everyone outside was very nice and respectful. We had great conversations with an excellent view. I don't know how they are keeping the doors open because its beautiful and the cost of the food and drink were more than reasonable. Do yourself a favor and if you drive out of Kona stop by and visit this place you will not regret it. Very accommodating and did I mention the food was freshly prepared and the owner himself cooked it and even had several recommendations and no hurry for you to order or decide anything. True meaning of Aloha for sure and would definitely go back. Thank you so much!

Amazing place to check out! Bill has phenomenal coffee and he may (if you’re lucky) have some chocolate he has also made from his cacao trees - but it’s in limited supply! Best chocolate I had on the island! Bill is a fantastic host! We had a lovely introduction to our place and if you love coffee he will provide you with all the info! He also has amazing pottery (porcelain vases with crystalline glazes), banana bread and some in season fruit. Bill has made his cafe on the side of the mountain with phenomenal views. We sat out on the deck, enjoyed the swinging chairs and couches and watched as the clouds (and a bit of rain) passed. It was heavenly!
To get into the place, when headed South on the main highway make sure you turn right onto Anoi Place. This road is a big hill, but Sacred Grounds is the 2nd driveway on the left. You can ease your way down and to the left to access his place. Totally doable.

Highly recommend this stop! Excellent view and wonderful food! My husband and I were out adventuring when we happened upon Scared Grounds. We were hoping to grab a snack and instead had the most amazing meal. He had an ahi tuna bowl and I had the best chicken and avocado sandwich on sour bread with feta and several cheeses melted. The owner was so nice and welcoming! He let us try a little of his homemade chocolate.

Beautiful spot in paradise with lovely people a nice little coffee, farm and wonderful coffee and food. Just a warm little family spot. If you go to Captain Cook, it’s a must stop.

AMAZINGGG! Wish we could move in so we could experience the coffee made their everyday. Best conversation and such a cool unique shop with the nicest owner who walked us through how to experience coffee beans to the fullest. Best coffee on the big Island!

Worth the stop. This location is magical. It’s easy to feel the spirit behind the name. Fresh roasted cocoa and coffee, teas, crafts, and the best host ever! Get a great pic, leave with much more than the ALOHA spirt.
