What a great store! And wonderfully friendly staff!
If you need a souvenir shirt from your trip to the Big Island, you won’t be disappointed with the selection here. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful.

I find the other review for this place humorous because also learned quite a bit about Taro from the owner of the store, who welcomes you into her shop like it is her living room. The products are all very high quality, and though I normally dislike wearing branding, in this case it is an advertisement to shop small and shop local.
Another example of why my wife and I loved the Big Island, because the people here are just so welcoming!

Really, really friendly people at this small shop in downtown Hilo. Mainly clothing items from Hawaii but Auntie Bev is just fantastic. She told us the history of Taro, recommended restaurants and told us about her family (they are high school sweethearts)
