We arrived around 2 pm and they were out of their vegetarian panini. Very limited vegetarian options but they were kind enough to remove chicken from another panini to make it veg for me. The paninis were awesome, we took ours back to our B&B for dinner. Friendly atmosphere, easy to spot on the highway. Recommend going earlier in the day for the best options. Overpriced as all of Hawaii is, due to the transport costs. Worth it!

Had lunch here as part of a tour of the road to hana. Good food and quaint little area. Best part? Whatever you buy here either at the restaurant or the fruit stand gets used to fund the clinic where both are located.

We were soooo hungry when we arrived at Hana Fresh. It is easy to miss, but shouldn't be. It serves delicious food. We had turkey, apple and cheese paninis, tropical smoothies and banana bread. All of it was fresh and perfect for four hungry people.

Smashing local stop serving fresh local food. We had huge fish kebabs on rice cooked in front of us, 2 large coffees and a mango coconut cookie. Came to about $35 which is great vakue for Maui.

Coming into Hana hungry after hours on the beautiful drive, the Mrs. was attracted to the green “Hana Fresh” sign and wanted to stop there for lunch rather than go to my food truck favorite passed town. She wanted something health and fresh.
The fresh produce looked great. We had high expectations. The Mrs. ordered a vegetarian sandwich. I ordered the poke and brown rice.
As it turned out, the sandwich was pre-made, who knows when, and was grilled as we watched. I made the mistake of not checking out the poke before I ordered and before I paid.
We sat at the outside canopy to enjoy or lunch. The Mrs. took one bit of her sandwich before opening it up and declaring that it was old, certainly not fresh and cold in the center. She ate a few more bites before wrapping it back up.
As soon as I opened the poke and could smell the fish, I knew I blew it. I ate a few bites to confirm. It was disgustingly slimy and old smelling. The rice was cold.
We tossed both the sandwich and the poke into the trash having just wasted $25. We laughed about how the great marketing (the roadway green sign with the word “fresh”) got us to stop and expect healthy, fresh food.

After the incredible journey on the famous road out there, this made for a great lunch stop! Delicious Turkey and Italian Chicken sandwiches! Although the prices initially seemed high, they were quite large, on freshly toasted panini bread and stuffed with outstanding fresh ingredients!

They only had one fish kabob plate left when we got there so we split it: 2 kabobs of ono chunks of Ono freshly grilled with brown rice, and a very fresh mixed greens salad. Oh, so good! Be careful with the salad dressing (it's served on the side), however, as it will 'light you up'.

What a fantastic lunch stop! Wonderful poke and smoothies! Fish plate is good too. Healthy and fresh! Hours are haphazard and not consistent. But if you catch it open, it is worthy.

In May, my wife Estraletta and I celebrated our 50th Birthdays in the 50th State. May was a good time since my birthday is in February and her birthday is in August. Hawaii, a tropical paradise in the Pacific Ocean, was an incredible location to enjoy natural wonders, learning about different cultures, and relaxing in a peaceful environment. We traveled to three different islands. We set out in Maui.
During our Road to Hana Tour, we stopped at this location for a break. Customers can sample a variety of bakery goods. My wife and I purchased some Macadamia Nut Banana Bread. The bread was tasty. However, the tour was long. Hunger had already set in. Nevertheless, I would recommend those visitors in route should try this location.
