Imagine diving the crystal clear aqua blue waters of Maui while watching beautiful tropical fish swim beneath you, turtles dropping by to say hi and gazing up at the ocean surface. Mermaid Lila made all this a reality! Lila ensures your safety in the water while making the experience relaxing and enjoyable. The monofin is comfortable and easy to get the hang of. Lila is an excellent instructor! The beach access gradually gets deeper making it a nice transition into the water. Lila's background in Marine Biology will leave you with fun facts and great stories to tell your friends back at home! I thoroughly enjoyed my time swimming with her as mermaids of the sea! I would highly recommend Lila's Light of Lemuria Retreats to all who dream of being a mermaid no matter what age you are or your experience with the ocean! :)

I had a fabulous time mermaiding with Lila. It was my first time using a monofin but she helped me feel completely comfortable using it. We went to a spot where visibility was great and I could see almost as well using just my eyes underwater as I could with goggles or a mask. She knew the reef really well and knew all the best spots. It felt pretty amazing to just be swimming naturally right next to where people were scuba diving. I would have been happy to be out there all day. Thanks again Lila for one of my favorite Maui experiences!

I had the pleasure of doing a mermaid lesson with Mermaid Lila on Maui and it was everything I had dreamed of as a kid!! Lila is very patient and makes you feel comfortable using a dolphin style kick. Not only did I learn how to swim like a mermaid, but she was also extremely knowledgable and passionate about the ocean. I learned so many new things about the ocean and ways to protect it. Her desire for change is so inspiring!Amazing experience overall highly recommended on your next trip to the islands (: Alohaaaa!
