Enjoyable sightseeing around the North Shore. Take-off and return to Dillingham Field. Flight was going to be 15 minutes which sounded too short so we opted for 30 minutes ... with hindsight, 15 minutes would have been sufficient. We didn't see much more after the first 15 minutes in the 2nd half. Oh well. Flight was very smooth & comfortable (if cramped with both us us in the back seat). All in all, an enjoyable experience & glad we did it.

We returned after 7 years to do a encore flight and found it to be just as exciting. Two of us squeezed into the backseat of the glider and off we went for a delightful half hour gliding and sight seeing.

Took my son for his first soaring experience while in Oahu last week. Bill (the owner) was a hoot (in a good way) and most importantly very detail oriented. He was very accommodating with regards to time slots and when we encountered traffic along the way to the airport said, "Just drive safely and take your time."
My son and I went up in two separate gliders. Did not catch the name of my son's pilot, but my pilot was Jonah. It was great to talk with him about his story and path to aviation.
Our adventure was in part a trip down memory lane for me, because my first time in a glider was about 35 years ago, on a trip with my own dad, when I was my son's age.
Would definitely recommend Honolulu Soaring.

Had a nice flight. The staff has been doing this for a long time and it shows. Nice equipment and nice people.

It was incredible. As soon as you were unhooked you were as close to a bird as you will ever be. Hearing the wind rush by you as Jonah safely takes you above the scenic North Shore is an experience I won’t forget. The staff is incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and always has your safety as a priority. Would definitely go again!

Adventures are many on the beautiful Hawaiian Islands. Here's perhaps a different one for you. Go gliding on the North Shore with Honolulu Soaring and from the quiet of your cockpit glide with the birds and admire the beauty of the shoreline. And the surrounding countryside. My young pilot was Jonah and he was a friendly young man who was able to point out many landmarks.
If you're really up for it, you can loop the loop and do an acrobatic adventure. Either way, this is something to enjoy.

I purchased the 20 minute glider ride for my dad as a Christmas gift experience. He hasn't been up in one for over 30 years and said it made his whole trip to Hawaii a memorable one. Beautiful views and personable staff. The weather was not as cooperative as we'd have liked, but mother nature does her own thing.

I did the aerobatic option and it was amazing. Sean was my pilot and a nice guy, it went from zero G to about 4G, it was completely unreal, very exhilarating. I have informed my wife I want to fly gliders, I’m still waiting for the verdict. 100% recommended this experience, I will always remember it

Did this in 1990 with my kids, but my wife never came up so always on our list to do it again. Just drove out with no booking, winds were light but they took us up in two gliders and just said they would charge when we got donw depending on how long we managed to stay up. Pilots were great very experienced and suprisingly my wife who's not a good flyer was less scared than commercial flight. Lovelly way to see some of the north shore, highly recommend.

It could not be used on a one-time honeymoon due to weather problems. This is not a problem for Honolulu Soaring. However, it is a problem for Honolulu Soaring that my credit card payment has not yet been refunded
