The Eclipse Gallery is a treasure lurking among more touristy shops. The art is not only beautiful but often practical and mostly reasonably priced. I love the mirrors with the pieced glass designs. This year I was wishing I needed to buy a wedding gift because the salad bowl with attached servers was over the top for beauty and function. The wares are for walls or table tops. A magnificent assortment of contemporary pieces.

The atmosphere at Bar Harbor is very relaxed and slow paced which was evident by the very loose interpretation of opening and closing times. So call ahead to make sure shops are open. With that said the gallery was very nice. They had some seasonal glass art pumpkins which we purchased. Very reasonably priced.
The owner was very helpful and when we inquired about UPS hours she told us it was closed on Saturday and asked why we were asking. We told her we had a large item to ship ( Not purchased at her store) and she offered to ship for us with no Handel if charge just her cost from UPS. She wrapped and boxed for free. How is that for customer service!
Not sure if we will ever be back to visit but would definitely recommend this shop if you are interested in art.

We were wondering around the village green shops and went in to Eclipse.
They have a lot of beautiful things. I felt like a bull in a china shop. Vi was afraid that I'd break one of their items.

We were very impressed while walking by their window at night, it was closed, so we made our way back the next morning before we heading out of town. We were in NE bar harbor, not so easy went through the traffic when the ship unloading people. But we both were determined, we wanted the piece we saw on the wall, a bronze candle scuplture, something i had been looking for long time, so elegant and classic. We were amazed by the price, so fair and they shipped for us along with a big blownglass bowl. We received them few days later, it was so well packaged, with a lovely thank you note inside and owner's signature. Will definitely come back for another treasure! thank you!

Beautiful and awe inspiring glass artwork! Some are functional, like lamps and vases, and some are just riveting to look at. Most is very pricy but for good reason! You may want to spend money here and get something of value and avoid the chachke and moose tee shirts!

We were very happy that we didn't miss this beautiful gallery while we were heading to the Abbe museum. We loved every single piece there,strongly recommend a visit if you are a fine art love, they have a wide range of collection, glass, metal,ceramic... We've got a blown glass lamp done by curt Brock now sitting next to me in my living room! Love it!!

This store located on the pretty square near town center has some spectacular glass creations. Featured glass artists not the usual tourist trap that plagues this city. Hunt this place out!

I was heading to the Abbe Museum when the beautiful window of The Eclipse Gallery caught my eye, and pulled me in! What gorgeous, handsome and some hand made items to take home to family and friends who will never get to Bar harbor, Maine. The shop is beautifully appointed with so many lovely items, that are so down Maine! In particular the beautiful hand blown glass with the swirls and lovely lines that would fit anywhere in your home!

I have collected Fine Art Glass from Gallery's in New York, Paris, San Francisco. I spend a couple of weeks in Bar Harbor every August. I visit the Eclipse Gallery every year to behold the Spectacular Art Glass. I never leave empty handed. Art Glass of the Highest Calibur at very reasonable cost. Don't deny yourself the pleasure of visiting this little bastion of Fine Art!!!
