I was impressed. I stopped into the museum, not expecting much, and I was quite surprised by all the items the museum has on display! The ladies at the reception desk were very friendly and eager to answer any questions I asked.
The museum is filled with many items, including a great barber shop, and there is also a Pioneer Village outside that gives people the idea of how life used to be in days gone by. There are a variety of buildings for you to enter and I imagine kids would really enjoy seeing them.
This is the type of museum that you should probably visit twice because there is a lot to take in.

What a hidden Gem. We were so impressed with everything the locals have donated a boat load of local history that we got a real feel for Aztec and the surrounding area. The Pioneer Village was fun to see.

I live in the area but always a pleasure to visit this place. There are many museum pieces both inside and outside. Much information about the founders of Aztec. Would recommend

The Aztec Museum and Pioneer Village was a great venue for my daughter's wedding!! The buildings and grounds made great backdrops for photos.

I visited the museum on a very warm day in Aztec. Greeter was very nice. Gave me a self tour packet which i followed. Fasinating history in Aztec. Interesting collections of items from locals. Enjoyed the out buildings the most! Bank, store, smithery, and others.

Small but very interesting museum with pioneer buildings surrounding it. It has a wide of artifacts and antiques from many different decades.

This is a well done look at the history of Aztec. It includes fascinating oil and gas exploration info as well as a look at Native American and pioneer memorabilia a delightful way to spend a hot afternoon. Loved it.
