It's hard work but someone has to do it. And these guys do. The Conservancy" part in this review's title sets this apart from the idyllic Emerald Necklace Parks open space we all meander when visiting these parks.
Stop by the Shattuck Visitor Center and pick up maps or just say "thank you" for all you do. it does, after all, take an enormous amount of effort to maintain Olmstead's 1,100 priceless and beautiful acres of greater value than 1,100 actual Emerald necklaces.

都会のオアシスといったかんじの、エメラルド・ネックレスです。どこまでつながっているのか、よく分かりませんが、バックベイ付近で散歩、散策にいいと思う地域です。ボストンの、公園や緑を大事にする姿勢はナイスです。

These days of fresh snowfall are wonderful for x-c skiing the Muddy River section of the Emerald Necklace. Start at Boylston St. near Brookline Village and ski to the edge of the Fens/Victory Gardens/Rose Garden. About 3 miles. Approach from either of these destinations, or near the MFA, Park Drive/Landmark bldg, Longwood T station, etc.
I go out for 1 hour + and enjoy my environs! Also good for winter walks.
