We wanted an Irish bar send-off before taking in the Van Morrison concert just prior to our departure to Belfast Ireland. We got it. Our bartender, Marcie, gave us the classic Irish pub experience. This is a very heavy local crowd - so that we got to experience that part of the Irish pub vibe as well. Great beers - championed by Guiness of course - and a very well stocked bar. when we get back to Beantown, we will return to give Marcie a debriefing on our Irish adventures!

This BAR is the best. First time in Boston Door guy notice we wasn’t from Boston and told us to come in we will love it. Best believe he was not lying. Best believe we are coming back.

On my trips to Boston, the Tam has definitely become my home pub there. Jean & Lynn and the whole crew provided a great experience and the whole staff was terrific. Drinks are very reasonably priced too. It was great to feel at home 1200 miles away!

Needed a late night cocktail outside our hotel (W Boston) and stumbled into The Tam. The crowd was friendly and the bartender was nice. Mostly a beer and shots place but the barkeep made me a decent Manhattan. Might not look like much on the outside, but a solid “dive bar” vibe inside. Check it out if your in the area.

Bière pas cher, bonne ambiance. On y présente du sport sur les écrans. J'y suis allé 3 soirs en ligne. La barmaid plus âgée est vraiment énergique et vraiment plaisante.

This friendly neighborhood pub was just around the corner from where I stayed in Boston. The service was terrific! Jean and Mellie kept my pint full and really made this Michigan guy feel at home! The prices were fantastic as well, with several of the draught beers for just $3.oo a pint.

Door keeper at this place was very rude. I guess he don't own the place and does not care of it's reputation.
Maybe he is friendly with regulars. Maybe was rude to me because I am a foreigner and have odd accent in english.
Fortunately rest of people I have been meeting in Boston were far more welcoming.
Thus, if going there with locals you probably should be fine. Otherwise, your experience will depend on the mood of the doorkeeper that day.

My girlfriends and I stopped in the Tam on our way to a show in the theater. It was a fun place. People of all ages were in there. Some people dressed very casual while others were very dressed up for shows I'm guessing.. They played fun music on the jukebox. When one song came on a bunch of us started singing so bartender turned up the music for all of us. Cold beers at $4 each for domestic.

As an Irish person I was hoping that this place would be decent but but it was such a disappointment. Unfriendly bar people who were more interested in tips and hanging out with their friends than anything else. If you want an Irish experience go somewhere else

One of the only places where you can get a beer for $3 in the city. Groovy little place near The Wilbur. Really cool staff. They don’t have food though which sucks but they let you bring in food from the neighboring restaurants. Will return when I’m in the area.
