Such fun to cheer for LFC with 122 other avid fans! The bar was at capacity for today’s match! The pretzels were good and the cheese toasties smelled good too. I want to return Sunday night for live Irish music

We knew about this place from TA and our visit was based on the Red connection from those reports.However, this is much more than just a pub for LFC fans ,this is a genuine local in the heart of the Lower East side ,which has a friendly bohemian feel(just like being back in a thriving cosy hostelry back in the UK or Ireland!).
We arrived first for "early doors" on an early November Friday afternoon, after a long walk touring Manhattan.
Be warned that it is a fair old trek to get there if you're walking from Mid town as we did.However,if you go south via Broadway and Union Square you should be alright.On arrival you will be glad you made the effort!
The place is warm and atmospheric,dimly lit but with a real buzzy local eclectic mix of people both male and female-all welcoming and friendly-particularly to friends from abroad!
The choice of beer is excellent,with a long list of well kept American cask ales.If you like Real Ale ,you'll love this place!There was Happy Hour from 7-9 pm and beers are only $5 for a proper pint.We took full advantage of the knockout, " Flower Power" brew and it was no surprise we didn't leave until after 10 for our long walk home.
The icing on the cake ,however,was attending the pub again on the Sunday for Liverpool match day, when the place was packed with Reds' fans by 10a.m. for the Palace game.It was even more of a special occasion because the NY LFC supporters had paid for the visit of and a Q and A session with LFC legend Alan Kennedy!The only disappointment was the result -but what a great atmosphere!
If you like good beer, good pubs and genuine local NY company you SHOULD visit this venue.
If you support Liverpool,you MUST visit this place if you are in town.

I visited this place in early hours of Sunday when Liverpool had a game against Man City (massive game). Place gets packed about an hour before games so remember to be well in time. Lots of goods ales in drafts. People seemed to be very friendly to visitors supporting Liverpool.
