A cool perspective on Central Park from this area. A very relaxing and peaceul spot. Not necessarily easy to get to, but pretty cool part of the park.

I discovered this by complete accident - and like a typical Central Park visit, whilst lost!
It’s a stunning view and I have since got one of my photos enlarged and put on my wall here at home. A wonderful memory of a lovely third visit to this beautiful Park.
Highly recommend!

Wagner Cove is on the pond in Central Park. It’s a really great spot for a couples photo. Right against the backdrop of the pond.

During our March walk through Central Park, we discovered this picturesque boat landing and cove. It's named after a very well known past NYC mayor, Robert R. Wagner from 1954-1965. You'll find a memorial plaque nearby with an inscription/dedication from his friends. It's really an enchanting piece of boat landing design.

Joli mais pas au point de traverser la ville pour venir voir ce petit cabanon « romantique » au bord de l’eau où les amoureux (ou pas) viennent se (faire) prendre en photo.

Dopo decine di visite al Central Park , devo ammettere che non avevamo mai visto questo piccolo romantico angolo . Per puro caso , attirati da una coppia con fotografi al seguito , lo abbiamo scoperto : infatti è un luogo dove ( e dall’ambientazione lo si comprende ) ci si scambia promesse di matrimonio . Immerso nel verde , con il lago vicino e nella pace più totale è veramente “ ad hoc “ per questo tipo di promesse!

After doing some research online I found this little spot as I walk looking to propose to my girlfriend.
The spot is the perfect location for a proposal as it is out the way yet it is very beautiful.
When proposing I arranged for a photographer to take some discreet photos, she was hiding on the path around the corner and took some amazing photos!
If you are looking at popping the question this is the perfect place!

Wagner's Cove is at the SW corner of the Lake in Central Park. Most notably, there is a small rustic dock found along the shore. There are a couple of bench seats there, making for a quaint setting in a shady area at the Lake.
There is also a walking trail along the east side of the cove then takes you back to Cherry Hill where you can continue onward with your visit to the rest of Central Park. From the footpath, you'll also find lovely views of the West Side buildings with perfect reflections in the Lake on calm days.

We would never have known about this spot if we hadn't been told about it - you could walk by it 100 times and never realize it was there. Located within a 10-minute walk from 72nd & Central Park West, this secluded spot right on the water offers a quiet spot to sit, read, relax, or even get some good photos.
