This park along the river is very nice. When the weather allows it seems there is food stands and kayaks to rent. We were there in not great weather but I am sure this would be a great place to kayak. It is a great place to walk and get away from traffic and noise of the city no matter the weather.

We saw the fountains both during the day and at sunset. They are really spectacular. The views of sunset along the river make a great backdrop. It is pleasant to stroll around and there are terrific photo ops.

Nice afternoon stroll along the rivers. There were no kayak rentals available when we were visiting. The food concession was also closed but there were restaurants nearby.

Going through Dayton on a road trip and decided to check out an outdoor point of interest because of pandemic. We strolled around the river edge with our dog. The big fountains on the river were a nice surprise. They turn on every so many minutes and depending on which way the wind blows, you might get sprayed like what happened to us. Nice place to check out though if you want to chill out.

More things that happen at River's Metropark and around the area and one year that happen in many cities over a decade. A beautifully landscaped place. That includes a pavilion. A children's play area. A water park. A water display across the river with fountains. And much much more. The central place for many events during the year in Dayton. Including things like the Celtic Festival, and many other festivals that embrace our cultural differences. Not long ago some superstars from the music in Hollywood stop by and held it church service. Truly a cool place stop by and see it.

We were at the Celtic festival on a beautiful Friday night. The parking was crowded since the Dragons had a game, but it was great to see all the people downtown. We watched a surfer in the whitewater section on the river which was very cool too.

We didn't realize that the river was up so much that some of the structures were just out of the water and the steps went down to the water rather than ground! It is a very nice complex and worth a trip to spend some time. Very relaxing by riverside.

Attend many festivals during the summer. Great space. Great location. Also good for sitting and watching the river or riding a bike.

We visited the RiverScape MetroPark today, and there really is nothing to do there during week days. There were a few people sitting around on benches. An empty auditorium, and a sidewalk that went down to the river's edge. The river was flooding the lower sidewalk and gazebo area was underwater several feet. We ended up walking to a coffee shop after spending ten minutes at the park, and the coffee shop was the highlight of the trip. I am wondering if we missed something!?!

Throughout, RiverScape MetroPark boosts activities and events for all ages. In the winter months, enjoy their large ice rink, complete with skate rental. As the weather warms up, many area festivals settle here, because of its perfect proximity to the suburbs. Surrounding bike paths, settle here too and it's a great place to sit on a bench swing and take in a sunset.
