We took a quick walk through this stunning church. Was like visiting the basilica's of Italy. Worth the detour.

This is a beautiful cathedral built in an opulent Renaissance style, very different than the more typical Gothic revival style seen in American cathedrals. Worth a quick stop to gaze at the wonderful art and architecture.

The basilica is so impressive with unbelievable architecture and art within it. For anyone even slightly religious, you can feel the reverence walking into the basilica. It was open to quietly visit when I was there. The timing didn't work out for me, but would love to attend a service here.

Absolutely beautiful cathedral in center city Philly just past LOVE park right on the Blvd. if you’re in the area it’s a must visit to see how beautiful it is inside. It is a bit deceiving from the outside.

The cathedral is the largest Catholic church in Pennsylvania. Construction on the cathedral began in the second half of 1846 but was not completed until 1864. The cathedral was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1971. From the outside the building has an impressive brownstone façade, built in a Roman-Corinthian style of architecture, and an aqua oxidized-copper vaulted dome in the Italian Renaissance manner. Inside there is an ornate main altar, eight side chapels and main sanctuary that comfortably holds 2,000 worshippers. It really is a beautiful Cathedral that I spent a good amount of time in taking photos and just sitting on a pew taking in the magnificence of the decorations. Entrance is free and I highly recommend a visit to this amazing Philadelphia landmark.

Pretty church, but not a world-class wow. Go in if you're nearby; same neighborhood as the library, Franklin Institute, science museum, Logan Circle, Sister Cities Park, Swann Fountain.

Came to visit the tomb of St. Katherine Drexel, which has a beautiful shrine. Cathedral is an architectural marvel and a profoundly sacred space. Hope to attend Mass on our next trip.

The volunteer organization the Legion of Mary reserved the Basilica for a 100th Anniversary Mass.
The Basilica is stunning with great acoustics.
We had about 300 in attendance and all went well and was well organized.

Accessible entrances, curb cuts, ramps and parking near accessible entrances for churches with parking lots. Sufficiently wide and level approach or gradually sloping ramp to door; doorway wider than 32 inches, with automatic door or one that is easily opened with minimum pressure or usher assistance; parking spaces large enough to accommodate vans with access aisle for discharge on either side of van; parking spaces designated with proper signage.
Church: Restroom facilities adapted for wheelchair users. Restroom has proper door size, enlarged stall, grab bars, clearance space, accessible fixtures and sink.
