We work to offer you a glimpse into the town of Gettysburg, and what it was like for the civilians who called it home, while also giving you a good understanding of the battle that encompassed the town. I understand your disappointment with the cancelation of your tour guide. Unfortunately, as we explained when you arrived, the guide who was assigned to you became ill Saturday morning and was unable to give the tour. We take the safety of our visitors VERY seriously, as do the guides, and we do not want to spread any illnesses to our visitors. For safety concerns, the guide had to cancel all of his tours. This time of year, the guides schedules fill weeks in advance, and sadly, all of our guides were booked with other customers. As the sales staff explained, they put calls out to all our guides and other locations to try to rebook your tour, but all tours were already filled. I apologize for the inconvenience, as we do our best to handle these unforseen issues that arise at times. Tours do go out rain or shine, but unfortunately there are situations that we can't control such as illness. We have refunded you for the tour. The complimentary admission for you and your family we extended on Saturday is also still available to you in the event you visit Gettysburg again. Stephanie

I am sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. We are limited on staffing this fall. We have since updated Viator and found away to block Tuesdays and Wednesdays from being booked in the future.
