I am from the area and have confirmed it is CLOSED! I confirmed this with staff at a nearby attraction. The answers I gave for rating... were only because the computer mandated it. I also confirmed it is no longer in business by calling the number given.

We were only staying one night and went inside this museum and it was a worth our time. Got to see a short video and then walk around part of the museum and they didn't even charge and most places cost a fortune to visit and it gets expensive to visit.

You have to see every aspect of Gettysburg and see all the museums that have so much to show you and like this place many, many stories. Seeing what the soldiers used everyday was an interesting part of our trip.

Gift shop is well stocked. Great book selection for educators or parents. We were there with 2 buses of youngsters on a field trip. Unfortunately students were not supervised and noisy. Made our experience not as nice as it could have been

If anyone is interested about how the orphans lived back in time during the Civil War. I definitely recommend this place. Go on the website for ghostly images, call them up and ask for the orphanage tour. Not only that you will tour various outside locations nearby but you'll also get a chance to visit the pit downstairs and learn the history of a nasty teacher Rosa Carmichael and how she treated the children and would keep the children locked in the pit without food and no light for a week. I do have to say, when I went a few days ago, my girlfriend and I were in the pit in pitch black and she felt being touched and not only I felt being touched but, also felt like I was being surrounded by little children that suffered back then. We also experience a chunk of stone just come out of nowhere and dropped in front of us while sitting downstairs in basement. That was to get our attention from the spirits that roam around down their. So if anyone is looking to visit an very active haunted location, this is the place. I highly recommend doing the orphanage tour. Very interesting and I can't wait to come back again do this tour again. Ask for Liz Lang. She's the one you want for this tour. Very welcoming to guests and answer any question.

This is one of the better attractions. It's not as crowded as other museums but still has case after case of really cool memorabilia, models, and relics.

This museum was nice. It offered a lot of artifacts and history and insight to the battle. Was worth visiting while it was opened.

This museum compliments that of Gettysburg National Park.It was a rewarding experience to wander around and be immersed in this towns history.

Closed!! This attraction is no longer in existence - they've sold off all the figures. and if I recall correctly they're going to rehab the building to be closer to its historical appearance.

Enjoyed it while it was open.. To bad they had to close it down.. We did both the tour of the Childrens Orphanage as well as the Soldiers Museum
