A friend and I stopped in while on a little trip to Greensburo. Totally unplanned but really happy we checked it out! Viewed some beautiful work by Matthew Hillier and BC Clay, really stopped us in our tracks.

Such a Beautiful Gallery! One of the most calm and much experiences, during such a hard time in my life. The displays of so many talented artist is one to really take in, more than once. It’s not something you can truly digest in just one visit. For sure on the list to bring other friends and I highly recommend.

If you are an art lover of ANY kind, this gallery is a must. Jackson, the gallery owner, did an incredible job of matching his gallery pieces to my and my partner's VERY diverse tastes. The congenial owner's stories alone would make it worth the visit, but the artwork definitely stands on its own.

Ambleside Gallery features a wonderfully curated selection of contemporary watercolor, and oil paintings, tiffany designed and handcrafted lampshades, ceramic and carved wood sculpture, mezzotint and copperplate etchings, pastel, colored pencil, and graphite drawings. With subject matter ranging from high studio finish landscapes featuring thunderheads bursting over sunsets, to picturesque groves dappled with afternoon light painted en plein air, this gallery has something to offer everyone. Owner Jackson Mayshark answered all the questions I had while visiting today, and offered up an intimate knowledge of each pieces' provenance. I will be returning again in the future and highly recommend you visit this treasure trove of art.

We nearly didn't stop in as the website and sign on the door both say the gallery opens at 11am. It actually opens at 12 o'clock. We were really glad we did get in as they have a really nice variety of artists on display with the art being well curated.
The gallery owner is very welcoming and interesting.
The price of the paintings are reasonably priced so if you're genuinely interested in buying a nice painting and are in the area, drop in.

I am a college student who recently moved to Greensboro. I discovered this gallery one day when I was exploring the area. The gallery is located downtown and is easy to find. I was intrigued by a painting displayed on the window of the gallery, so I decided to stop in.
I was so glad I did! This gallery is filled with a wide range of artworks including watercolors, pastels, oil paintings, sculpture and photography. Also, there is a mind-blowing collection of ceramic vessels with illuminated scenes beautify sculpted within. Currently there is an incredible display of black and white photos of the Himalayan Mountains by Jeff Botz. Impressive artworks!
Jackson, the owner of the gallery, is a very gentle, friendly and knowledgeable person to talk with! I had a wonderful conversation with him about his gallery and a number of artists he works with (both national and international). Highly recommend visiting this gallery!

We read the other positive reviews and decided to stop by on our way back to Virginia. Really glad we did. Located in a very interesting area of old downtown Greensboro among other galleries and shops, Ambleside Gallery stands out for the quality of its art, changing exhibits, and its very knowledgeable and gracious owner. The gallery is easy to find (using gps) and well worth the time. We are looking forward to seeing a new exhibit next time we go through Greensboro.

This gallery has a variety of types of art and sculptures and is very interesting. Jackson, the owner, is so kind and generous and took time on Sunday to give us a private tour since we could not make it in time on Saturday of our weekend visit. Highly recommend.

While visiting my parents, we stopped into Ambleside Gallery one boiling Saturday. What a treat! The gallery space is gorgeous (and cool), and we were amazed at the range of art - there is something for everyone there. It was especially lovely to chat with Jackson Mayshark. The three of us bought paintings by the same artist - Karl Wennergren,. My parents took theirs on loan to make sure it would fit their space. I arranged to purchase mine over the phone after seeing how gorgeous theirs looked on the wall. Jackson shipped my paintings to Milwaukee. They arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I highly recommend stopping into Ambleside. I certainly plan to do so when I am back in the area.
