Spring Break fun

Went to the zoo on our spring break trip - it was fun for the toddler, teens and adults. we spent about 2.5 hrs there, rode the train and saw all the animals. Fun getting to feed them too! We did not experience the restaurant but the restrooms were clean.

Zoo Fun

It is a lovely zoo with opportunities to feed various animals. The train ride is included in the price of admission and is fun and provides a closer look at some of the animals in the open areas of the zoo. The snack bar provided a limited menu but not a problem. The food was hot and delicious although a change from our normally healthier diet. French fries were crisp and hot. The hot dog was fat and yummy. Go to the Budgie exhibit for sure. It is a joyful experience as the birds perch on you and explore pockets and nibble on your ears.

Good but has areas that need improvement

We went to this zoo in this February with my wife and 2 children. Overall we had a good time but there is room for improvement.
Price: Like most attractions these days, the prices for food and interactions seemed to be higher than even I expected but the food was actually pretty good.
Exhibits: We enjoyed the sloth, giraffe, and hippo encounters and paid to feed several of them. The animals, for the most part, seemed to be well cared for. The zoo itself is easy to get around and explore it quickly since it is not that big.
Staff: There were several staff members we had interactions with that were friendly and helpful and working super hard. For the price the zoo charges for everything, I hope the workers are paid fairly.
Negatives: The only big negative for us was an employee we had the displeasure of running into named Sammy. She was not helpful at all, rude, arrogant, and condescending when we asked questions. I thought her attitude would be limited to customers which is bad enough, but we actually watched her talk down to other employees as well. That encounter nearly ruined our day trip but talking with other employees about her attitude, we learned she isn't well liked by other workers there and she pretends to act like a manager.

Attractions good. Wished more viewing glass without wires for little kids.

The attraction s were nice. Food experience no handwriting station. No lids or straws for kids. 1 beer $20.85, ridiculous!

Sloth encounter

My overall experience with the zoo was amazing. The staff was friendly and helped when needed. My only issue is that I paid for a sloth encounter which was never received after waiting almost two hours. And I am not from here, so it’s not like I can use the purchase another day and of course I was told I was unable to receive a refund. I was highly upset because this was my main reasoning for visiting the zoo. As mentioned, aside from that. My experience was great.

We had such a great day at the Gulf Breeze Zoo! We saw so many animals and the staff was wonderful. We did a Hippo Encounter which I highly recommend. So so fun!

We did went here to participate in the Sloth Experience. It was wonderful! The guide was very informative and we were able to feed and pet the sloths and take plenty of pictures.

This was a nice local zoo. I guess like everything else it seemed very high priced. But inflation and making up for COVID shutdowns is now costing us all. The zoo was fairly ADA friendly, a bit of gravel but OK. The train ride was great so was the elevated walk-way. Overall a good experience

A Delightful Visit

We brought our granddaughter & great granddaughter here & we’re delighted to see so many animals. The animals are very well cared for, in spotless enclosures, & many were very interested in interacting with humans. We especially enjoyed the sloth encounter & feeding the giraffes. The staff here were very knowledgeable and appeared to truly enjoy working there. The zoo itself was so clean. We were impressed with all the projects they support to help preserve animals in the wild & their habitat. You won’t be disappointed if you visit this little gem.
