It is right on our way visiting the different areas of Thousand Springs State Park, not too far off our route. We parked and walked across the Owsley Bridge for a great view of the Snake River.
Lots of people walking with their dogs. It is a really serene and beautiful spot. Bring a picnic. Really enjoyable and did not take long.

Maybe in the local area this is a special place. Even given the history, it is just a bridge and a park. Unfortunately, it did not impress us......we have seen bridges similar to this all over the United States.

This bridge is so beautiful. Such history here. To walk over the river on this bridge was a wonderful experience. Hidden treasures await those who are also looking for a Geocaching experience.

Stopped to check out the docks for fishing. Nice little park. Would be better if the low class citizens would pick up after their dogs. It is really, really difficult since Idaho Power furnished the bags!!!! Come on people...quit being so d..n LAZY and think of others for a change!!!

We stopped at this small wayside park on the Snake River while visiting Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument and it makes a nice rest stop when exploring the Thousand Springs Scenic Byway (US30). The free facilities include a parking lot, picnic area with shade trees, restroom, boat ramp and a floating dock for fishing and river access. The water was calm here. It's a good vantage point to view the historic Owsley Bridge built in 1921. The bridge has been closed to vehicle traffic but is open to pedestrians.
