NOLA Freewheeling is the best!
I take bike tours whenever I can, and this one was one of the best. Teddy is a fantastic tour guide, laid back, easy-going, and very knowledgeable about anything New Orleans. We rode through many neighborhoods, into City Park, which was an unexpected gem, and much more.
New Orleans is a great city to visit. You ask people where they’re from, and most are born and raised right in NOLA. It’s a tight knit community. the locals waved and called out to Teddy as we rode by. People know each other. I’m really glad I had the opportunity to see there’s so much more to New Orleans than the French Quarter.

Fantastic history tour via Bike

Teddy is a local and made sure we really got the history of the area! Excellent quality bikes and comfy seats. Easy pace and great rest stops at various points in the city!

First choice for bike rentals in NOLA

We are in New Orleans and when guests visit we like to bike. Our friends at Bayou Bicucle recommended Free Wheeelin, who also rent bikes.

The service was so easy to sign up for, they contacted us by text, the bike was sturdy, well outfitted, and custom fitted by the owner. The seat is extremely comfortable.

Bike check in and return, with helmets and locks, was handled quickly and professionally. And the specially drawn bike map was a big help.

We recommend this company to anyone who'd like to rent a reliable, comfortable bike for getting around New Orleans.NOLA is flat so its a great car alternative.

Great way to see and learn about New Orleans

My wife and I loved our time with Teddy who led our ride. Teddy provided the insights of a true local, provide the cultural history and stories you can only get from someone who knows the city. We would take this bike tour again.

Great to see NOLA beyond the French Quarter

Local history tour from a local. Great tour and saw a lot of the city beyond Bourbon. This is the second time I've done a bicycle tour of the city (first time was with a different company) and it did not disappoint.

Really recommend this excellent bike tour of NO. Teddy our guide had some great insights and rapid fire delivery. He chose safe roads for riding and of course it is flat. A fun way to get some perspective on the city

BEST history tour of the city

This tour was the perfect way to introduce a family to the unique city of New Orleans. Teddy can talk a mile a minute, which is important because he has A LOT of information to pack in. His knowledge of the history of New Orleans is way more that can fit into three hours. He was a safe and attentive guide through the streets, and my family felt taken care of the whole time. I'd recommend this company and this tour to anyone, in a heartbeat.

Teddy was our incredible guide. I can’t say enough good things about this tour. Teddy is a New Orleans native. I really felt like we received not only the history or the city (pre Louisiana Purchase) but also the local perspective. Teddy was incredibly knowledgeable of the past as well as the present. We saw parts of the city we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. I would recommend this tour to even the most novice of riders. It was easy, slow and safe.

Free Wheelin tours by real locals is the way to go.

Teddy was a great local tour guide. He took us outside the “touristy” part of NOLA and showed us the beautiful neighborhoods, the beautiful big-hearted neighbors, and beautiful (and sometimes difficult) history of struggle & determination. He was super patient with an inexperienced rider. The ride felt safe and easy for all experience levels. Loved it!
