My boyfriend and I wanted to bike around New Orleans but we are not into group tours. After visiting a few visitor's centers that did not have bikes for rentals, we finally found the French Quarter Bike Tours.
Their location is great, and they offer many options on tours and rentals (and also different kinds of bikes).
What we liked the most about this company was Rudy. He was so attentive, patient and so nice... he took the time to explain everything we should know and answer all of our questions.
Always with a big smile on his face, Rudy let us try different bikes to see which ones were more comfortable for us and adjusted the ones we picked. He showed us on the map where to go, what to see and the best routes to take.
New Orleans is an easy city to bike around, and in one day we covered a lot of it (French Quarter, Garden District, Cemeteries, Riverwalk, and some other non touristic areas). We found cafes and pubs where only locals were hanging out. The city is flat, what makes it easier even for those who are not used to ride bikes.
If you like to exercise and make your own schedule, I totally recommend to rent a bike for the day and make your own tour. The bikes come with baskets, so you can pack some water, your city guide and your camera.

Andy was a great tour guide with fantastic knowledge of the New Orleans. He has a passion for the arts, architecture and general knowledge. He showed us places that were not so known as well as the famous places outlining the history and its existence. A must do for all those travellers who only get to see NOLA for a few days. You see a lot on a bike than you would on foot. French Quarter is a quite a big area to cover with lots to see. I highly recommend those travelling to NOLA to do this bike tour. You will definitely not regret the experience.

Went on this tour with friends after finding a groupon. Rudy was a great guide and answered all our questions. The rest of the staff was also very helpful!

We had Andy take us for a bike around the French Quarter as well as to a cemetery, Frenchmen St and some other areas. It was a good pace considering the hot weather and a small group which was great. He also gave us great recommendations for restaurants and jazz. He was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the history and architecture in this district. Definitely would recommend this tour at the beginning of your trip!

Great way of getting to know NO! Entertaining and really worth it! The guys are very nice and the guide who followed us provided us with nice and interesting information about the city! Besides that NO is wonderful to ride a bike, at the same time you know different and diverse places you exercise yourself enough to eat the beignet - typical and delicious pastry served with powered sugar on the top.

My husband and I recently did this tour during a trip to New Orleans. It was great to see some of the city early in our trip so that we could get suggestions/ideas of places to go that are a bit more local rather than touristy. Our guide was wonderful! We stopped often to discuss everything from the architecture, history of the city, and even Hurricane Katrina. He was very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions our group had. It was a bonus that he actually grew up in the French Quarters and is intimately familiar with the area.
We had a Groupon for this tour so it did make the cost a bit easier on us. That being said, I would highly recommend French Quarter bike tours on your next vacation!

We had a groupon for this tour which is where we herd about it. The boys were very nice! Very accommodating to fit the bike to your size! We learned so much from the tour and doing it on bikes is a great way to learn about the city! I would do it again!

We had an excellent bike tour. The guide, Rudy, knew a ton about the history and the culture and gave us lots of tips on places we should go see and places to eat. Of all the stops, I enjoyed the Katrina stop the most! Great Tour!

This was an excellent tour! Andrew was great making sure we were safe during the entire tour. He also share numerous stories about the history of New Orleans! You will love this tour!
