If you get the opportunity stop at tropical island in the center of Bourbon Street the main one.there’s a bartender there and his name is big bear. This guy knows how to party down for his customers you better go before he leaves that establishment because that kind of guy could be hired anywhere in the French quarter.He Partied me and my girl up like there’s no tomorrow. and let me tell you man the band was off the chain. Those guys do request, and they play nothing but the good stuff like the Rolling Stones do yourself a favor and take your girl.

This was our 2nd TI..We had gone to a much smaller one 2 days before.This time we brought 3 new friends with us...We had a blast....These drinks Hands Down and maybe Face down, the Best drinks in NO !!!!!! THANK YOU !!!!

All right so the “hand grenade” is hands-down the best drink in New Orleans.. We kept asking the bartender is what’s in it but they won’t tell you because it’s top secret but whatever it is is so good and trust me after one you will be feeling it !!! if you can drink two your strong! It gave me like a lemon lime melon Type of vibe definitely delicious and for only $10 the cup is also a keepsake... so you can walk up and down Bourbon Street drinking and it not be a problem!!! if you’re going to New Orleans definitely check this place out because you are going to love it I know we did!!!

I've walked in sober and had a grenade and didnt hit me as youd think "new orleans strongest drink" would do. drink tasted more like lemonade. more like "new orleans weakest drink"

Visit either Tropical Isle on Bourbon Street for the strongest drink in the French Quarter (their signature Hand Grenade), listen to great music, and have fun! Tropical Isle has been in the Quarter for decades and the owners keep it an awesome place. They also own the bar next door (great Zydeco!!), and The Funky Pirate, all in Bourbon.
Have been a customer for years and always get great service and have a good time!

Totally a tourist trap but do it anyway! Russ served up some fun making our Shark Attack. It was sweet but totally worth the $10!

We couldn't come to Bourbon Street and not get a hand grenade. I don't know how much they cost bc someone bought my friends and I one. The drink is pretty sweet but it tastes good. Watch out, it sneaks up on you later! The bar is really lively. We were there on a Tuesday so I'm sure it wasn't as packed as it would be on the weekend. We came, we saw, we conquered!

Danger! Danger! Grenades everywhere! Seriously, these drinks will destroy you. Whatever secret formula combo of boons farm, mogen david, rubbing alcohol and sugar they use is as deadly a drink as I have ever had. I'd say to know your limits, but it really doesn't apply here. The drink is a grenade for a reason, one too many and your next day will be unlike any sickness you've ever felt. I felt it, thanks for ruining my birthday Tropical Isle. Three of your drinks, despite bartending for years, sent me to pain town.
If you want to get the most bang for you buck, hand grenades seem to be the best option on Bourbon street. Would I do it again? Maybe....

This was a random trip on Bourbon on a random afternoon, recommended by my UBER driver who made a random detour just so i can experience a Hand Grenade! What a perfect drink for the pool. I recommend it on the rocks rather than as a slush - you don't want to water it down. If you love melon flavor, and hard liquor, this one's for you! I'll be back for sure!

Never had a cover any of the times I have been there, but with everything these days -- you should call and verify for yourself if it is a concern.
