We visited this bookstore and just loved talking to the lady at the front. She shared so much history about the shop. We could have talked to her for hours she was so interesting.

I'm always drawn to used bookstores and this one was just okay. Not a lot to pick from but there are some good local books that can be had. This place has great potential.

Of all the used and antiquarian bookshops in NOLA, I liked this one best for book-hunting; thought it had more books in good, clean condition than some of the others, and offered said books at very reasonable and fair prices. I felt very comfortable browsing for a long time (I tend to do that in this kind of store!) and never felt rushed or pressured. Of course, I made a few choice purchases that I'm so happy to have found.
The gentleman behind the desk was friendly and helpful, and I really enjoyed talking with a local at length. There's "another" New Orleans beyond the madness of Bourbon Street, and talking with nice folks like this gives you the true flavor. If you love used books like I do, I'm sure you'll find something special in visiting Librairie, as I did.

Everything a quirky little bookshop should be. Eclectic and interesting selection with a proprietor that could have been straight out of central casting. Put down your kindle, get some ink on your fingers and support this local business and your brain. Plus you'll get hit on by way sexier and smarter people while reading an old book than staring at a screen.

We stop at this book shop every visit we make to New Orleans. It has a variety of used books. The lady who works there is very friendly & nice.

I love this bookstore. It would be easy to spend an entire afternoon here among the shelves of used hardbacks, as well as a New Orleans-centric collection of new books. I found something I had been looking for. The lady at the counter was friendly. Prices vary widely; I found some bargains but then again there were some that weren't. At any rate, an enchanting store for the bibliophile.

This is a small store- well smallish. A very nice person was working there and a sweet cat, always a plus for a bookstore. New Orleans does not seem to embrace books - it least not in the tourist areas- so if you need a book this is a great option. A wide selection - you should be able to find something for that plane ride home. I greatly appreciated being able to great book that wasn't from the dreaded airport kiosk.

I always enjoy visiting local book stores when I travel. I like to pick up local history, books written by local writers and always like to talk to the owners. This shop did not disappoint, I was able to pick up two new books one a local history, The Accidental City, written by a professor at Tulane and one about the battle, But for a piece of Wood. Both very interesting and full of the history we all want to know after spending time in New Orleans.

This is a small used books store. There are a lot of paper backs and some hard covers. We enjoyed looking through the selection of books & purchased a couple of books. The next time we're in New Orleans, we will be going back to this book store for more books.

Faulkeners was closed so popped in here. Very authentic bookshop with a friendly proprietor giving sound advice, especially on local authors. Happy to recommend.
