My fiancé and I contacted Sylvan Rocks about climbing Devil’s Tower and being married there, and they agreed to assist us with accomplishing our goal. We booked a 3-day trip with them, and Brandon, our climbing guide, informed us that he would become ordained to perform the ceremony, which was our first indication that we were dealing with helpful people. When we arrived, he promptly explained the safety measures we needed to take, the equipment we would use, and instructed us in all the potential climbing maneuvers we would utilize while navigating the Tower. We realized quickly that we needed assistance in learning climbing techniques that we were unable to practice in our home gym, and Brandon responded by encouraging us in ways that made our skills stronger and more effective. His open and positive style of communication made it easy for us to honestly evaluate our abilities regarding the climb, and he used his remarkable memory of the Tower’s features to find us the perfect spot to be married. When the day came, he enlisted the assistance of two other helpful and supportive Sylvan Rocks employees, Zane and Ryan, to act as witnesses and provide assistance to us as needed. The spot Brandon had advised we use was perfect, and his earnest delivery of our vows made me cry. This experience was more perfect than I could have imagined.
If you are reading this to assess whether or not you should contact Sylvan Rocks for your climbing experience, I recommend that you do. These folks had never met us before last weekend, and they went above and beyond to be sure that we created memories that would make us smile for the rest of our lives. My husband and I owe them a debt of gratitude that no amount of money could ever repay, and I hope that you allow them to create that sort of experience for yourself and your loved ones. You deserve the best, and they are it.

Phenomenal service! Took a 3 day climbing trip. Brandon, Zane and Ryan are all fantastic guides. They had everything we needed and took us on a ton of amazing climbs through multiple parks. I highly recommend Sylvan Rocks Climbing School for any climbing trips you are planning

From booking to walking out after the climbs the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Communication with Brandon and our guide Jeff was prompt, informative, they were on top of everything! The climb was a surprise gift for my husband and they worked with me to keep it that way. Jeff was communicating the day before regarding questions about the climb and the day of the climb for weather updates. Safety is their number one priority. As a novice to climbing the instructions were clear, concise and going in Jeff had a plan, but also fluid with options. He was full of answers to all my questions and informed about Palides climbs. He provided excellent feedback with climbing technique, suggestions on how to move during the climb. Overall outstanding experience and can’t wait to climb with him again!

My grandson (14) and son (43) climbed with a large group ranging from 5-50. Guided by Ryan, Bears and James we had a great time. Excellent safety and introductory instruction, then six different rope climbs under their guidance and encouragement. Both of my “sons” were excited and really got the hang of it quickly. Everyone in the group got to climb to their capacity. We recommend Sylvan Rocks whole heartedly!

We had a fabulous time climbing with Chris this morning. He was very helpful and informative yet allowed us to have some independence in the climb. We had the opportunity to make 6 climbs each and enjoyed every one of them period this was definitely 1 of the highlights of our trip.

My daughter and I were first time climbers and chose the 8 hour adventure package. Zayne was an amazing guide! After a initial lesson on a lower formation the day was off and running. We were able to squeeze every bit of climbing out of our 8 hours, Zayne gave us every opportunity to learn and try new skills as the day went on. 4 crags and 7 pitches in all. The day exceeded our lofty expectations! Thank you Zayne and Sylvan Rocks.

Climbing the tower after not climbing for a few years was a challenge, but Shankar was calm, confident and a good teacher. Had a wonderful experience. I hope I can do this again sometime!

Great experience for first-timers! We had three guides and 15+ people on the 4 hour tour. Initially, the ratio made me nervous. The guides (Ryan, Bears, and James) were well prepared, safe and fun. We all got to climb as much as we wanted. Sylvan Lake is gorgeous and the morning climb location was shady. Highly recommend!

Chris was an amazing guide! This was our first time trying rock climbing and we’re traveling with kids ages 6, 10, and 13. He set up three courses. The kids had a blast and we learned so much from him!

We had a great day climbing with Sylvan Rocks Climbing School. Our group of 6 was paired with guides Shankar and Zane, who were funny and friendly and helped us pick routes appropriate for everyone’s abilities. Many in our group had never climbed outside the climbing gym and despite differences in skill the guides helped us all challenge ourselves and summit together. I only regret that we were not able to get more routes in, but it was a fun first outing nonetheless. Brandon, the owner, was also very friendly and extremely helpful during the booking process and patiently answered my questions and provided valuable suggestions for our climbs.
