Reasonable prices and good selection for family food for lunch while in the park. More or less centrally located.

We stopped at the Legion Lake Lodge after driving down the Needles Highway from Sylvan Lake. Legion Lake is another beautiful lake in the awesome Custer State Park. We enjoyed a snack on the patio overlooking the lake and walked a bit of the perimeter. It was a wonderful and relaxing visit. I highly recommend it.

This lake is not huge but it’s very nice. They rent out kayaks and paddle boards. You can fish at the pier. They have a sandy area for swimming. The general store is right next to it. Arrive early. There’s not much parking

This cabin community was the next best thing to camping. The cabins were quaint and clean. It was nice to have the mini kitchen and necessary facilities to give us the comforts of home, while still having the picnic area with firepit and the beautiful scenery to keep us feeling outdoorsy.

Swimming beach, canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, fishing...Legion Lake is one popular spot in the heart of Custer State Park. Just a short drive from the entrance Legion Lake also houses a lodge with dining service. Parking at the lodge and short walk to the beach is easy and colorful

Stopped here after a horse back ride. We rented canoes and stand up paddle boards. The guy who rented them was helpful. The lake is small but it’s really nice. The water is warm. The lake is right next to a restaurant where we got s quick lunch.

Even though a cool day in the 60s in the summer, it was gorgeous. We stayed in a cabin. Much nicer then our hotel. Kids loved the loft. The bathroom was double the size of hotels. Nice and quiet. Views of whole park breathtaking.
Only downside was that we found out later was FREE to get in for Father's Day. Not mentioned at entrance where we paid. Found out at Coolidge General Store sign way too late.

Enjoyed the serenity of Legion Lake in the shoulder season as we picnicked on tables at shoreside. Good stop for a snack when traveling through the park.

it's one of the lakes in the Custer state park, there is a lodge, a restaurant, you can walk along the lake shore, the most iconic scene of the Legion lake is the big rock in the lake, some artists also come to draw picture of the lake view. There is also a playground. There are also people doing some water activities.

My husband and I stopped at Legion Lake Lodge restaurant for lunch. It was a lovely day. Our server was very good (I forgot to get her name but she said she was from Louisiana). The menu was limited, but enough choices.
The food was good. Also, a nice gift shop.
