Excellent service, responsiveness, and day off piste! Magda was a great guide who was very patient and helpful for first timers off piste. We had an amazing day and would highly recommend.

Michael was an excellent guide in difficult (icy then slushy) conditions. Adapted the days to suit the conditions, our skills and enthusiasms. We learnt a lot, he improved our skiing. Listened, solved problems, enthusiastic. He researched with colleagues, communicated well. Found the only(?) fairly accessible powder in the area.

It was an epic first time backcountry skiing day for my 30+ year ski life. Our experienced guide, Burkhard, started the day with a basic safety learning session which is very helpful (learnt how to use beacon, probe, what to do in emergency, etc) and led us to amazing tralis with a bit of hike up considering our fitness and ski levels. We worried a bit before booking this as there wasn't much snow and wasn't sure whether it's worth to do backcountry skiing but that's exactly when you need an experienced guide like Piste to Powder and we really enjoyed the day. Thank you Burkhard and team!

Fantastic 3 days skiing with Michael. He was an exceptional guide. Went out of his way to find the best snow for us when very little good off piste snow to be had. Was super flexible and tailored the day to suit everyone in the group. A great mix of on piste instruction and off piste fun!

Michael was an outstanding guide. Although there wasn’t much good snow off piste he found it, and when on piste gave us v useful individual tips. He was fun, flexible and extremely professional. We ended up booking an extra day.

Miceal was a great guide, who showed us tons of great terrain, took us ski touring for the first time, took us down Valluga north and took us on the great white run. Throughout the days he was with us, he showed us gorgeous views and somehow managed to find us fresh powder snow in multiple places weeks after the last significant snowfall and made sure every run we did was amazing.

A super nice tour with Moritz below Östlicher Augstenbergkopf. The total climb was about 850m and we found good snow on the north face in spite of little precipitation during the last weeks.

This was a mixed experience. Much of this stuff depends upon the quality of the snow and the conditions. On the days, we had guides, we had an average day, a complete dump with difficult conditions, and a blue bird powder day.
The best ski day I’ve ever had was on that blue bird powder day. And I’ve been skiing a long time. Our guide took us to just pristine untouched powder, fresh from the dump the day before. The guide moritz was fabulous. I highly recommend him.
On the first day, our guide was Mathias. He was very quiet. Efficiently went about his day, moved us from one run to the next. Most were all beautiful runs. A good day skiing. But the conditions from the previous day were not great, but we go 4 inches of snow overnight, which gave us a nice covering over the crust. And a good day.
The day with the dump. The conditions weren’t great. And our guide definitely was not great. We managed just three runs. The guide preferred eating lunch to skiing with us. He finally got us back out and I ended up in a 10 ft deep hole. I was lucky I was not injured. I feel like it is the guide’s responsibility to keep me out of situations like that. Or at least warn me of the potential problem. He didn’t. This guide was Rupert. Or, Rupi. Don’t go with him.
The organization is very customer centric and flexible. They made adjustments for us. And all in all, they did a good job. Though with all of their “safety orientation”, they didn’t keep me from falling into a hole.

We understand how much snow and weather conditions can impact a ski day, and we’re pleased that you also had an enjoyable day with Mathias, making the most of the fresh overnight snow even though it was a cloudy day. Our goal is always to choose the best terrain available, balancing safety and skiing enjoyment, and it’s great to hear that you enjoyed the runs he selected.
We’re sorry to hear that your day with Rupi didn’t fully meet your expectations. We’ve reviewed your day with him and if there was any miscommunication, we sincerely apologize and will use your feedback to reinforce clear planning and communication. Our guides always aim to coordinate breaks and lunch stops with their groups to ensure well-timed stops that suit everyone's needs. After your first big run, it was agreed that you’d take a break while Rupi skied a run with your son, followed by a lunch stop to recover before continuing. Your lunch break ended up being longer as you opted to skip a run. We always encourage open communication so we can adjust the plan in real time and ensure the best possible experience for everyone.
That particular day had lower visibility on the higher runs due to heavy snowfall, but it also brought a good amount of fresh snow and some excellent skiing opportunities. Rupi carefully selected safe and suitable runs based on the conditions and your skiing level. On the final run, Rupi advised staying close to his tracks as the relatively flat exit to the run has some bumps and moguls. Skiing, even in the best conditions, always carries inherent risks which, while mitigated by professional guidance, can never be entirely eliminated. Thankfully, on the way out of the off piste area, the good amount of fresh snow provided a soft landing, and we’re relieved no one was injured.
Safety is always our top priority, and we take your feedback seriously. Our guides are highly trained, hold daily morning safety meetings to assess conditions, and stay in constant communication throughout the day to ensure the best decisions are made. Your feedback is invaluable, and we’ve discussed it internally to refine how we communicate and adapt throughout the day. We’re grateful for your honesty and are always committed to improving our guest experience.

Hello. Me and my friend are advanced skiers looking to book a ski vacation in St Anton around last week of March- first week of april. We are mainly interested in backcountry and pow. 1 - How are the conditions usually during this time ? 2 - Will our all mountain skis be sufficient or better to get big mountain fatter skis ? 3 - Would we need backcountry safety gear ? 4 - Can you give us an idea about your rates ? Hi Rabih, thanks for your message and your interest in our off piste services. Easiest way is to contact us via email or +43 664 1746282. You'll be fine with all mountain skis, end of march / beginning of april it can be quite warm already, so an early start and choosing the appropriate terrain depending on the aspect is essential. You definitely need safety gear, it is also included in our prices which start from 130 if you'd like to join an open group session or 380 (one skier, adding another 60 for each additional).
