Fantastic museum with the most exquisite ceramics from Phoenician and Egyptian eras circa 2500 to 3000 years ago. This tiny gem of a museum is beautifully curated and worth seeking out. Quickest way is up from the municipal square. This should be rated as one of the top places to visit in Almunecar. The alabaster vases are mind-blowingly gorgeous and to think the the Egytians were able to master such complex ceramic processes and produce these 3000 years ago is beyond belief! Every time I visit almunecar I just have to go back. This small museum helps crystallise your understanding of spanish history in this area and the contributions that Phoenician culture made to the development of the powerful Roman Empire.

A small collection that is worth seeing because it transports you throughout the history of this wonderful city. Curious settlement that was part of the ancient Roman forum. It is worth strolling through the Jewish quarter, seeing the museum and ending with a sunset from the castle.

Después de subir unas cuantas cuestas preguntando a los ciudadanos, pues no hay señalizacion, y pagar 4 euros nos encontramos con un museo, que más bien es una colección, en la que hace un calor inaguantable y que no dice nada al profano, tampoco creo que diga mucho al experto. La entrada es combinada junto con el castillo, más de lo mismo.
Bastante mejorable, tipicode un museo que es propiedad de un ayuntamiento donde privan otros intereses.

Ik was verrast door de grootte van de site, je bent zeker een uur aan het rondlopen. Een combiticket met het archeologisch museum is een aanrader. Goed onderhouden!
