Mariposario Sencillo, no tiene mucho atractivo. Cuando fuimos no tuvimos guianza y la parte más bonita fue mirar los colibríes en el área de descanso.

We went to the Nathaly Butterfly Center because it was in town. We had the place to ourselves. Well, just us and hundreds of butterflies! You enter through an orchid garden. Then, you have to find the opening in overlaid green tarp (to keep the butterflies from escaping. Next are several large mesh boxes with butterflies in all stages of development. Then, another overlapping tarp, and you are in! So many butterflies! All colors and sizes. We walked around the paths and enjoyed the antics of the butterflies. After leaving the butterfly area,, we enjoyed the hummingbirds and bananaquits in the hammock area. Definitely worth the price of admission!

Not a large place, but full of interest. Superb plants outside and lots of places to sit. Then you go first into the area where the butterflies are bred. The owner put an enormous caterpillar on my hand -- it stretched from finger-tip to wrist! After that, we went through the curtains into the area where the butterflies are flying free. What an enchanting place! Some were enormous, others tiny; some were quite plain, others a vivid blue or rainbow-coloured. Many were feeding and you could get to within inches of them with your camera, while others were flitting from plant to plant. One was clearly dying, but that's nature for you.
A lovely place to visit for an hour or so if you're in Mindo.

This was a great place to spend an hour or so in the town of Mindo. This relatively small site included a butterfly house, labeled potted native plants, a koi pond with ducks, rabbits in hutches (we got to pet them and watch them eat), and a hummingbird area with hammocks. Beautiful plants were everywhere, and the owner was extremely friendly. The ground of the butterfly house (like most of Mindo) is a bit muddy, so plan you footwear accordingly.

Die Schmetterlinge fliegen in einem großen Areal frei herum. Da keine Netze o.ä. aufgespannt sind, können tolle Fotos mit diesen Tieren gemacht werden. Häufig setzen sich die Schmetterlinge direkt auf ihre Besucher, so dass man von der Möglichkeit, diese mithilfe von Futter auf die Hand zu nehmen, eigentlich keinen Gebrauch machen muss (meiner Meinung nach auch nicht sollte). Tolle Erfahrung!

Para poder aprovechar al máximo la experiencia, les recomendamos que vayan en las horas de la mañana, es un lugar tranquilo, que a más de poder ver el ciclo de vida de las mariposas, también cuentan con áreas para ver conejos, peces y colibríes.
Su explicación es buena, precio calidad esta bien.además está a varios metros del centro de la parroquía Mindo.
Una alternativa para que los niños y adultos puedan distraerse y tener un momento tranquilo y aprendizaje.

5USD para un invernadero sucio y pequeño con muy pocas mariposas. No hay ninguna explicación y el lugar en general está pésimamente mantenido.
Lo único bueno es que se pueden observar pájaros en un pequeño patio y hay lindas flores.
El precio es desmedido para lo que es. Vayan mejor al mariposario de Mindo a las afueras de la ciudad vale mucho más la pena.

A very good way to spend an afternoon. The greenhouse had many different types of butterflies and there was also an outdoor area to watch hummingbirds feeding. We thought we would stay for an hour but ended up there for almost 3 hours.

Idéalement situé, ce jardin nous a permis d'observer les papillons, oiseaux et quelques orchidées.
Bonnes explications du cycle biologique des papillons.
