La hostería Kundalini, es muy agradable, su personal amable y las habitaciones muy limpias. está bien ubicada, si se desea se puede ir al pueblo de Montañita que está a unos 15´minutos caminando o ir a las playas de Olón , que está a unos 10 minutos en vehículo, dispone de un buen restaurante, sin embargo en Olón y Montañita hay nuy buena gastronomía.

Je recommande a fond ce lieu, l’école d’espagnol est reliée aux logement les Cabañas où ont peut rencontré des personnes incroyables et où beaucoup d’activités sont organisées. Les cours sont interactifs et toute l’équipe vraiment aimable! J’ai beaucoup aimé mon séjour là bas.

Had an amazing time at Montañita Spanish School. So many nice people! The classes are good and the staff and teachers are really helpfull. Besides the classes there are a lot of fun activities. I would definitely come back.

Had the best week ever!! I recommend this spanish school so so much! If you are in doubt, please go here, you will not regret it! The teachers are amazing and makes spanish superfun and easy to learn. The classes are small and divided by level so you get classes that are well fitted for your level to optimize learning. But this spanish school is so much more than just a school - they arrange different activites almost every day, so there are so many fun things to do, and you will get to know so many great people. I really made friends for life after only a week! Examples of the activites (organized by the amazing Tessa): welcome dinner, volleyball, beer pong tournament, day trip with whalewatching, snorkeling and visiting Isla de la Plata in Puerto Lopez, paella night, football matches, game night +++ And every day you can sign up for yoga- or salsa- and surfclasses. And the surf instructors are also amazing! Superfun and actually the best surf teachers I have ever had. You should know that Montanita is not supersunny, it is more cloudy and it can rain, but the vibe of the place is so amazing that you will not want to leave! Me and my friend had to leave after a week because we had booked another school in Manta the next week, but we ended up coming back to Montanita because we loved it so much there! I recommend staying at the Cabañas, since you then are staying with the other students and it is easy and fun to hang out (and there is a pool and a jacuzzi;))

Had the most wonderful trip - learned so much Spanish, became much better at surfing, played beach volleyball, and had such a great time with all the other students going out in montanita :) it was my second time staying at the cabanas/learning Spanish at the Spanish school and it was just as wonderful as the first time :)

Wer in Montañita Spanisch lernt, fühlt sich nach kurzer Zeit als hätte er/sie schon ewig dort gelebt. Schnell kennt man jeden Winkel des kleinen Örtchens und wird an jeder Ecke gegrüsst. Die Gemeinschaft der Spanischschüler ist unvergleichlich und die Lehrer*innen sind menschlich und fachlich fantastisch. Party und Surfen stehen ganz oben auf der Liste der möglichen Freizeitgestaltungen, aber es werden auch viele weitere abwechslungsreiche Aktivitäten und Ausflüge von de Schule angeboten wie etwa Whalewatching, Salsakurse und Yoga. Absolute Empfehlung!

We had the most amazing time at this school. Everything about Montanita Spanish school exceeded our expectations. We are a family of 4 (kids 8 and 10). We felt so welcomed and learned so much. Both the Spanish and surf instructors were incredible. They made things fun and really knew how to teach kids. The atmosphere of the school as a whole was wonderful. They organized many events and activities which we enjoyed. We would totally recommend this school to anyone looking for a great place to learn Spanish and we hope to return in the future.

Montanita Spanish School is an absolutely incredible school for people of all skill levels! The teachers here are not only very organized and helpful but fun as well. Even just a week here I left feeling notably better at Spanish than when I came in. Highly, highly recommend.

Came not knowing how to count to 10 in Spanish, after 2 weeks, I was able to count, spell, and babel in Spanish. Jeannie, Giji and the staff are there to help you learn Spanish at a 5 years old level. Plenty of activities before and after class. Definitely maybe do it again if the opportunity arise.

when is the high seison in Montanita? we are a peace loving couple, would love to study, surf and yoga but we are not into a party scene...is this a right place at all for people like us?

the high season in Montañita starts officially during Christmas this year but through December it already gets more crowdy. Indeed Montañita has pretty much of a party scene to offer and it also is kind of reputated to be a party town. But still you can also have a laidback holiday here, because of course you don´t have to join the party and there are a lot of other activities around. :) For study, surf and yoga it is definitely the right place.

When is surfing season in Montanita?

In general here in Montanita we have a pretty good surf season all year around, especially for beginner surfers. If you are an advanced an like to surf the bigger waves, the surf season is more between the end of December till March. This is when we have the North swell which is a bit more consistent with the bigger sets. However the remaining months could have bigger sets as well with the South swell but this is less consistent.

Hola Amy, thank you very much for your e-mail. We have had in the past children around that age with us and they had a great time with us. We have teachers that can deal with children perfectly for classes. The only thing is that group class is not available for children because they need to be taught in a different way than grown ups. Therefore (if both of the children have the same level) we recommend shared private class for the two of them. Or otherwise both of them one on one private class. Regarding accommodation we recommend staying at a host family. We have families with children that have a similar age and therefore this would be a perfect fit. I hope I answered your question.
