Modest falls

I presume you can go walking around the falls or even kayaking but if you're just going to look at the falls, they are not very high and not that impressive.

Great waterfall but not for swimming

Great waterfall. Would be even more amazing in winter or after rain event when higher flows. Easy walking track down then can get down onto cobbles set back from to photo. Do not swim! There are many signs here as the currents are strong and people have lost their lives here.

Big falls

Very short walk down to the falls. There was a big turn around of cars. You can walk across the rocks. Great place to take photos. Toilets there also. There is not many seating areas.

Impressive to see

It was raining for our visit. The falls were roaring and very impressive. Nice short path to view them lower down. Worth a stop

Nice falls - full due to rain

Stopped to check out the falls - there had been a fair bit of rain so the falls were quite full. There was a whirlpool of sorts at the base full of logs of wood which spun around on the spot. Easy to get to the falls and they are quite nice. Worth a stop

An easy 5 minutes walk from the car park. One of the best waterfall I have ever seen in New Zealand. A coffee by the side of this waterfall would be great

Definitely worth the stop

The falls are practically beside the highway and the car park is a good size and equiped with toilets. So why not stop, take the 5 minute stroll down to the base of the falls, and marvel at a lovely natural sight.

A little treasure

We went to Murchison and my friend said what do we go to see the waterfalls I said great I’ve never been there before. Once we are there there was a very good size Car park. Firstly we went to the platform to look at a waterfall and then we walked down for very short walk to see it from a different angle we were very lucky we saw a beautiful rainbow. Well worth coming here.
