The City and County Building caught my eye as I was driving around SLC. It was constructed from sandstone and quite pretty with more attention to the architectural details than I expected for a local government office.
It was surrounded by a park like setting with walkways and lots of statues.
Lots of paid street parking were available so it was easy to stop and checkout for a short period.

While waiting for my bus to arrive, I visited this park briefly. There were some men practicing their Tai Chi Moves here. Noted the beautiful fountains, statues, flowering gardens and of course, the palace-like building, called the City and County Building.
There are benches in the park where one can sit down and enjoy the ambience. The Building is also open to the public!

Small park next to the imposing City Hall building. Several pathways line the park-like square. There are benches scattered around the square. Several attractive statues adorn the square.

What an amazing 'City and County Hall'-building! Outside aswell as inside. I didn't know where to look first, let alone if you like taking pictures, this historic nuilding definately has it all.
Amongst the citizens of SLC this beautiful piece of architecture is commonly known as "The Castle" where you have to go to to pay your parking fine... 😉

This is a nice little park for walking around. A very small homeless population, but very pretty with the building and fountains. The library is nearby, which was a nice stop, too.

Потрясающая архитектура здания викторианской эпохи , милый фонтанчик - эффектно смотрится в этом зеленом сквере неподалеку от библиотеки Солт Лейк Сити.Приятное место погулять в чистом парке и отдохнуть душой.

While walking around the city, I came upon this park and building, and I ended up walking around the building for over a half hour. The architecture of it is absolutely beautiful, and even the newer parts of it blend in seamlessly with the older parts. It's a shame that we don't construct buildings like this anymore, but if you love architecture, it's a must see.

I found this gem on accident as I was walking the city to explore. I am not sure if there is anything to do there, besides wander, but I enjoyed the architecture surrounded by trees and snapping a few pictures of the lawn covered in snow.
