Our group of 3 couples recently had a great time on Holly's food tour on the East Side of Providence. We met at a Mexican place where we sampled tasty soft tacos and then continued on foot for stops at Japanese and pizza restaurants and a bakery. Holly provided wine and drinks at each stop. I would not necessarily consider these restaurants at the top echelon of their respective genres, but the food was good and Holly's enthusiasm made the whole experience festive and fun. If you are not from the area it is a great way to become familiar with the section of Providence that is anchored by the funky and artsy Wickenden Street.
Tours start at 1 p.m. and last 3 - 3.5 hours depending on the stops. We booked at the last minute so left it up to Holly to schedule the venues, but if you book further in advance Holly will work with you to customize your tour. We appreciated that she limited the tour to just our group.
