Joey - I apologize for the misleading information. We do not have a Phase I game, the operator was trying to build a rapport and joke with y'all - I can understand the confusion with this. The scratches are relevant and do go to a puzzle as they should. The staff may have been less knowledgable on this clue, so I've addressed this. The letters may have not made sense in-game, sometimes they're decoded incorrectly or out of order etc. The staff should have clarified this with you and explained it better. Again, I've mentioned this to them. The box typically has items in it and is open for anyone to access as a first part of the game. During the game sometimes the staff want customers to focus on another puzzle and guide them to not worry about it for the time. This should be mentioned clearly as to come back to it later - this I've also mentioned to the staff.
