I thought the best pictures I got were from the Kentucky side of the bridge so you could see the Cincinnati skyline, the walk across the bridge isn’t too far.

I do believe that all repairs have been completed as well

It takes about 5 to 10 minutes to walk across and the walkway is separated from the traffic lanes by metal and brick. Completely safe

There is a public parking area behind Molly Malone's restaurant just up the street from the Covington end of the bridge. It is filled on weekdays from 9-5...but in the evenings or weekends there is plenty of parking.

While the parking is more challenging on Cincinnati's side the are garages or lots right off Pete Rose Way with the bridge in between. Sometimes, depending on the day you can sneak over and park on the tarmac at Paul Brown Stadium (shhhhh).

The bridge is approximately a half mile long from Newport Kentucky to Cincinnati. There is pedestrian access from either side as well as parking (metered or surface lot). It is a nice walk and is a pedestrian only bridge now but once carried the Louisville and Nashville Railroad, a roadway and two streetcar lines. The main span over the river is 550' long. Takes about 20 min to cross one way and there are a few benches along the way.

There is plenty of parking on both sides of the river. On the Cincinnati side there are numerous parking garages that allow you to park for up to 1 hour for $1. Many lots are as low as $7 for up to 2 hours as well. All of downtown is easily walkable to the bridge. I like taking pictures from Smale park and while walking on the bridge itself. If you have time Moerlein has a restaurant right along the river that offers nice views of the bridge. They have a balcony that you could easily get great shots from.
