There isn't really places to camp. You can walk from town (hostels and homestays) to little Adam's peak.I saw two camping sites in town not on the peak.

I was panting as I climbed up to the peak. I would say the last few steps were a bit of uneven; below that was just flat lush green plantation and it is doable. Just rest for few seconds or a minute to catch your breath as you climbed nearer to the peak. There is no need to rush. Just enjoy the scenery especially when you reach the peak.

The walk up to the final accent to the top is just that a pleasant walk along the tea fields. If you see the tea plantation workers ask to take a photo with them and give them a tip for thanks those people work very hard for about a US dollar a day and are sometimes supporting families at home. If you want a easy great view hire a taxi and take a day trip to Nuwara Eliya maybe spend the night there. A very beautiful place.

Hi Senji! The last kilometer is steep and contains approximately 314 steps. Only you can decide if you will make it, but I've seen people of all ages make it to the top. Take it in your own pace and try to go when the sun is not so harsh. Good luck!

I did see people with small children on the way, so definitely you can do it. But if you have a baby-backbag, it helps. I also saw a man who climbed the hill with crutches. Definitely not dreaming the impossible. :)

Wij zaten ook in 98 Acres Resort. Ongeveer half uurtje lopen, terug inderdaad sneller. Als je vanuit het dorp moet lopen (langs de weg) zou ik voor 2 tot 3 euro een tuktuk nemen naar de ingang van 98 Acres Resort want langs de weg lopen is niet leuk, stoffig en warm.

Ella is a great place to visit. You can get to it on the train to Badulla from Colombo Fort station. The train ride takes 8 hours and takes you through beautiful mountain scenery. Reserve a seat ahead of time at the station to get the most comfort. Once at Ella, Little Adam’s Peak is very accessible for most and offers stunning views. Ella Rock is great also. Yes. But weather there is changing very quickly. Thé fog will come in oné minute and you see nothing. Same for view arround. We were waiting for good photo about 3 hours. But good luck. Its amazing place.
