Really beautiful , lots of places to eat around. Also great for families with kids because there is a playground not far.

במסגרת טיולנו להר ויטושה,בסתיו 2019 טוני המדריך האולטימטיבי הביא אותנו לנהר הסלעים הזה. מקום קסום הממוקם באמצע יער נהדר. החוויה התעצמה גם בגלל עונת השנה בה העלים זהרו בשלל צבעיהם והשמש הציצה בצבע זהב מבין העצים שמסביב. מי יודע אולי בגלל עובדה זו נקרא המקום גשרי זהב. אם אתם בדרך להר ויטושה אל תחמיצי מקום זה. חובבי צילום לא יפסיקו לצלם שם, חובבי טבע יכולים לשבת על אחד הסלעים סמוך לנהר ולאכול ארוחת פיקניק קלה.

Zlatnite Mostove -Golden Bridges are a good choice when you decide to go to the Vitosha mountain for relax. The pics are from 05th of August 2012.

Hard to believe, but I passed through Sofia almost exactly 50 years ago, knowing nothing about it, and a hotel person at that time suggested taking a bus to Zlatnite Mostove . There was nothing else to do, so I did, and was literally the only person there. Why that river of rocks stuck with me for all this time is anyone's guess, but flash forward those 50 years, I was in a car with my friend and a driver on a multi-country tour, and the driver asked where we wanted to go. It was Sunday and the weather was fine, so of course I dredged Zlatnite Mostove from my memory bank, and with help from GPS we found it.
Along with thousands of other people.
Well, the rocks haven't changed, and it is still a nice forest surrounding, but OMG the traffic, the wall-to-wall cars, and the people on each one of those rocks.
This is hardly the fault of Zlatnite Mostove, but is there really nowhere else for local families to go on a weekend day? If you are thinking of visiting, by all means (trust me) make it a weekday, and even let it be raining. That may not eliminate the crowds but might make a dent.
Am I sorry I went back? Not at all. The natural beauty is still there. But you might have to plow through many other people to see it. And yes, a bus still goes there.

Der Steinhaufen an sich hat mich zwar nicht so angesprochen, aber die Wanderung dorthin über die Aleko-Hütte mit Blick über Sofia und Besichtigung eines verlassenen Hotels im Wald (Urban Exploration) ist absolut empfehlenswert. Natürlich kann man auch einfach mit dem Auto Zlatny Mostove besuchen.

מקום מקסים חצי שעה נסיעה מסופיה בלב ההר המיוער.
אויר נעים, נוף מקסים, פיכפוך מים וטיול קליל בשביל העולה לאורך מפל האבנים. יש באיזור מספר רב של מסלוליי הליכה ורכיבה בכל מיני דרגות קושי. יש שלט גדול עם הסברים באנגלית ומפה ליד המסעדה.
ליד יש מסעדה המגישה מרקים חמים ועוד.
נהנינו מאד וממליצים.

Ik deed de wandeling Boyana kerk - Boyana waterval - Zlatnite Mostove. Die wandeling was behoorlijk uitdagend, toch zeker tot aan de waterval en een stukje daarna. Heel veel steil omhoog en soms eerder klauteren dan wandelen. Af en toe is het pad heel nat en zelfs een kleine stroom water, maar het werd nergens echt gevaarlijk. Wel goed op de markeringen letten want voor he het weet, heb je iets gemist. Goed schoeisel is zeker aan te raden, net als insectenspray. De waterval, de natuur, de stilte en het uitzicht op Sofia zijn zeker de moeite waard en het eindstation ook. Zlatnite Mostove is een hele hoop rotsen die wel mee met het water van de bergen lijken gerold. Een stroom aan grote rotsen die gelig gekleurd zijn door mos of ander afzetsel van het water en waar je kan op klauteren of uitrusten in de zon. Reken toch zeker 4u voor de tocht en neem voor de zekerheid een kaart mee. Die kan je vinden in Sofia in een boekenwinkel of de toerist info. Leuke daguitstap, zeker in combinatie met Boyana kerk die Unesco werelderfgoed is.

I wouldn't drive kilometers to see a place like this, but it being located so close to Sofia is just amazing. Great way to spend your day outside.

We had heard about the boulder river from a local and it is worth a visit. It is a half an hour drive up the mountains through nice forest. Wear some good shoes and hike up the steep but hand railed path. The site is of geographical interest with large boulders wedged together spanning the enter slope of the river. Plenty of picnic benches and a cafe for refreshments.
