Sarà perché eravamo fuori stagione,ma non ci ha entusiasmato troppo anche se c'era molta gente.Bello il mare e il bastione,si fa presto a girarla perché non tanto grande .

Un centro storico tenuto piuttosto bene, ma non rispondente alle aspettative. Meno curato e meno pulito degli altri centri visitati. Bellissimo il tramonto sulla spiaggia lungo i bastioni.

Total unfreundlich und obendrauf eine Verkehrsbusse durch „Comune di Gallipoli“. Apulien war super, aber der sehr schlechte Eindruck von Gallipoli bleibt - aufgrund der Velehrsbusse. Schade.

We had a guided tour, a night tour in Gallipoli to discover and visit the town. Very nice, coloured, busy small streets full of small shops and cafes. Good to spend a few hours walking around

Gallipoli was one of the best stops on our week long Puglia tour. It's located on the western (inner) side of the Italian heel.
The town consists of two parts - the mainland new town and a small old town on a tiny island connected by a bridge with mainland. Park your car somewhere before the bridge and walk over it to the historic area, and, don't forget to bring your swim suite and a towel.
The island old town is full of charming bars and restaurants in narrow stone streets, nice artisan shops, a terrific Cathedral and several other magnificent Churches.
At its end, slightly to the right is a beautiful public beach set in a quite and clean sea bay to cool yourself.
Plan around 3-4 hours for the visit which will reward you with great memories.

il centro storico è piccolino in un oretta lo si gira dall inizio alla fine, è pieno di viette e negozi . molto bella la spiaggia della purita alla fine del borgo, il castello invece bello solo da fuori. x me è da vedere anche se ho preferito il centro storico di Otranto a questo di Gallipoli

Hermoso, bien cuidado y prolijo, muy pintoresco, ideal para paseos , cenas al aire libre. Una invitación a perderse en callecitas internas y conocer sus habitantes. Nos alojamos con una niña de 3 años a pocos metros de la playa y del centro histórico. Muy recomendable. Volvería sin duda.

Mi è sembrato di entrare in un parco divertimenti. Comitive a destra e manca, alcune schiamazzanti addirittura sul sagrato della chiesa. Negozietti in ogni dove. Non ho apprezzato inoltre i locali con plateatico sul mare dove la musica proposta dall'uno, addirittura copriva l'altro che faceva altrettanto. Una visita è bastata.

Salve domani devo andare a Gallipoli dove mi conviene posteggiare ? E c’è qualche navetta dal posteggio al centro ? E per che ora mi conviene partire da torre San Giovanni

Guardate che fa piuttosto caldo, anche un pochino più tardi credo possa andare bene. Torre San Giovanni- Gallipoli sarà mezz’ora di strada traffico permettendo... come dicevo, non so il flusso turistico di agosto... m credo possa andare bene. Il centro storico è veramente grazioso. Buona serata!!!

Buongiorno a tutti,
a fine agosto, primi di settembre mi recherò a Gallipoli ed alloggerò nel centro storico. Avendo preso macchina a noleggio avrei necessità di sapere dove è possibile parcheggiare, se gratis o a pagamento ed eventuali ulteriori dettagli. Grazie anticipatamente a chi vorrà essermi d'aiuto.

Sulle stradine laterali tra lungomare e via Roma. Non lasciarla in divieto di sosta perché prendi.la multa!!!!sono agguerriti.via ampelea e dintorni fai due tre giri trovi.di sicuro trovi meno caos fine agosto

best solution for me is historical centre...
try "dimora corte e consiglio", is close to the sea and harbour and nice to visit old town.

Io dormii ad un bed and breakfast sul corso principale nella città nuova ma non ricordo il nome.
Ik had graag geweten of die brug “ponte s Giovanni paolo ll”in een verkeersluwe zone ligt wij,kregen een boete van 105 euro , voor er over te rijden in 2016 met de vermelding “verkeersluwe zone enkel te betreden met de nodige toestemming!
