Queued up bought tickets, when we got to gate told wheelchair would not go through the door and there were 5 steps to negotiate.
Wife in wheelchair had to stay at the bottom. In fact there are nearer 15 steps in all.
View from top was good, worth the ride up.
Still waiting for a refund. Would be good if they put on website not wheelchair accissible.

Excellent facilities to have a day out with family. A walk from Gvepseborg cafe to Kanonstillinga was amazing. And great view from the top

Fantastisk utsikt, en fin opplevelse å kjøre krossobanen. Køen gikk relativt hurtig både opp og ned. Om du har tid og form vil jeg anbefale å ta banen en vei og gå på bakken en vei.

Usedvanlig fin tur opp mot vidda. Tenårsjentene var litt nervøse, men føreren håndterte reisen så bra.

This was made in 1929 so that the residents in Rjukan could see sunlight in the winter. The cars are from that time period and one can get the feel of the technology of that era. The views are fantastic and the ride was a pleasant and fun experience.
The station at the lower level is ok. It is confusing about how one is supposed to get tickets in order to get on the ride. Buy your tickets from the ticket machine; I think you can buy them online as well. We bought the round-trip ticket; however, many go up and then hike down. You ring a bell that indicates you want to go up the mountain. It was like being in a Fellini Movie. We figured it out eventually. The price was reasonable. Check their website for current prices and opening hours.
There is a lot of potential here to develop this into a first -class experience. However, the station at the top is very run down, dirty, broken windows, the steps needed the grime and dirt to be swept up, it was unclear that one can also walk up several flights of stairs in order to see even a better view - we figured it out when We saw someone coming down. The telescope was broken.
There was a cafe up there, but we did not want to try it since everything at the top station was so run-down and dirty. They need to do a DUGNAD/a volunteer effort to fix the place up, replace windows, sweep, clean, paint etc. The trails need to be improved as well. They need to be better marked. There are now several tramways/cable card up the mountains in Norway, so this place needs HELP from the Rjukan citizens to bring up the standard. Thank you for reading this. Do go up for the views and hiking opportunities, just be aware it is very run-down and unloved.

Elendig service og middelmådig mat på krosso fjellstue. Damen bak dusjen var uinteressert i oss, fikk ikke m seg bestillinger, menyen var litt kjedelig, savnet kanskje typisk fjellstue mat og den var lite velsmakende.

Husker i 'gamle dager', det kostet 10 øre for innenbygdsboende og 50 øre for utenbys. så var det alltid like moro å bestille 'helt opp'

hyggelig bane fører med godt humør. Regn og dårlig sikt dessverre men vi fikk et glimt av Rjukan. Fin cafe på toppen med veldig hyggelige ansatte hadde nok blitt sittende lengre om veret hadde vert bedre :)

Flott utsikt på toppen av Krossobanen. Vi var 2 par som ville opp å nyte utsikten. Den var kjempeflott. Ble møtt nede ved påstigningen av en veldig hyggelig/skøyeraktig mann som styrte systemet. Fin nifs tur opp til toppen. Gikk opp på tak terrassen hvor det var kikkert som dessverre ikke virket, men allikevel hadde vi flott utsikt. Spiste hjemmelaget lapskaus m. flatbrød i kafeen som smakte herlig. Anbefales😀. Tok banen ned igjen og sattigjen med en flott opplevelse. Sprit og korona tiltak alle veier.👍😀
